I was in the very low 50,000s and managed to get tickets on the phone after calling in several hundred times. Today I was super thankful that my husband is deaf since there were plenty of $99 tickets for the ASL interpreter area.

How can you pine and cry about "waiting online in a line" for tickets, only to find you could only buy four 200 dollar ones? there are are people losing jobs, homeless, abused, sexually diminished at work in DC, but you all need to see a play because it makes you feel something? you are all so ridiculous. give that money to a food kitchen, send it to PRico, or help make your town a better place, but jeez you feel so bad you could only get $700 tickets for a play by some high school drama kids who couldn't get a job in the real playhouses? Sorry not sorry.

I do all of the above. No guilt at all.

Do you have a smartphone or a computer? Why don't you sell it and donate the money to charity? News flash: there are always people worse off, including people much worse off than you. Do you ever complain about your life? How can you, since there are people worse off?
For some of us, this is a real splurge. I rarely if ever buy new clothes, I don't go out very often, and I love Hamilton. I got an expensive ticket for myself and am looking forward to seeing the show. Of course it's a first-world situation and a complete indulgence. But so are lots of things in my life, and in yours.

I'm feeling really lucky after reading the posts above.

You were TOTALLY lucky!!! Enjoy!

+2. The Hamilton thing will become a case study in collective madness among the privileged 1% willing to pay hundreds if not thousands of dollars to see something when you can read the original and much better book for $10, or listen to the soundtrack for ever for the same amount.

Do you both feel better about yourselves?

You have no idea who we are, what we read, what we listen to, how much $$ we have, where we spend it. Period.

I've been a fan of Hamilton (the book the play is based on) since it was out in hard cover many years ago. And I love the soundtrack. Going to be so disappointed if I am unable to go.

Just a first world problem, I know.

This is a touring company. If you didn't see it s year ago on Broadway..,.

I'm actually flipping my tix for some cash to spend and better the economy. You're making me feel guilty so I will donate 10% of my profits to charity

Let me guess, you don't own a television, either?
