Tickets go on sale tomorrow for members of the Kennedy Center. The email and instructions they sent out have me incredibly stressed that I won't be able to get tickets. I've been a fan of Hamilton (the book the play is based on) since it was out in hard cover many years ago. And I love the soundtrack. Going to be so disappointed if I am unable to go.
Just a first world problem, I know. |

I would hope you could get something, right?
What do I know? I'm a non-member, and will try when they go on sale to non-members. I have $400 budgeted to two tickets and plan to try to get some matinee, mid-week date in August, when everyone else will be on vacation. At least in theory, right? |
| I'm sure you will be able to get them! |
| I'm still thanking DCUM poster for prompting me to get the National Theater subscription plus Hamilton! I have my tickets in my hand. Thank you again! |

I managed to get non-resale tickets in 2016 to Hamilton on Broadway last April, but I ended up getting pregnant a couple of months after buying them. When I first found out I was pregnant, and realized the dates...I was so disappointed. My due date was the week of the performance I had tickets for, so I had to sell them.
Hoping I can get tickets tomorrow. I have to buy tickets for a deaf-friendly performance, and they always sell out extremely fast. |
I don't know. There are only a limited number set aside for members and I know A LOT of people who signed up this year for KC memberships just to have access to these tickets. |
| Good luck all. I already have my tix but am also seeing it NYC this spring so might decide to sell my DC tickets. I'll post back here if I do. |
I think that was me and you are welcome
I have tickets in hand (and pretty amazing seats too) but I need to go on and try to get more because they coincide with when my kids have camp, and they are the true fans. Incidentally, the shows at the National have been amazing! |

i will buy your dc tickets

I just saw a news story where there are hundreds of people in line at the Kennedy Center to get theirs.
Good luck, OP! May the odds be ever in your favor! |
| We saw Hamilton in Chicago last summer and it was really good. Tickets were $500 each but, we were in the 7th row. So, if you don't get tickets in DC you could always fly to Chicago and get tickets to the Chicago show. I will hope that you get tickets in DC though! |
The email did say a substantial number of tickets were set aside, but who knows. |
| In my experience KenCen always, always adds additional weeks once the first weeks sell through. |
+1 - I have thoroughly enjoyed the Broadway subscription this year. We have split our 2 tix up so that we go with our kids, and Mean Girls was most appreciated by my spouse and I really enjoyed Something Rotten. Can't wait for Waitress (and, of course, Hamilton). Also am eager to see what will be coming next year - will have to do some wheedling to hopefully get spouse to re-up our subscription once more. |
