Our son got waitlisted at Pine Crest/Oakview. The letter did not mention anything about a center at Piney Branch.

Home school has a lot of kids under a lot of parental pressure to get in, complete with test prep.

Barnsley Principal did not send out Robo calls. They were personal and I felt a really nice touch! He said he was calling all parents who got in to welcome them to his school and to personally invite them to Monday's Open House! I think that's so amazing and really above and beyond!

Rejected. Not even waitlisted, and I'm pretty surprised. And depressed about another 2 years (at least) in gen pop. DC is bored so often, and now I'm sad that there doesn't seem an end in sight. Sigh. DC doesn't even know decisions are out and isn't focused on this at all. But I'm so disappointed to think of what could have been a great two years!

We are in pilot area and reject letter has no scores. Useless!!!! What about other areas?

This. I didn't do a lot of advocating for additional support from the AEI office because I figured I'd wait for the HGC in 4th grade. Now I wish I'd pushed more when DS was bored.

No letter yet, but a call from the Barnsley principal saying my child got in! He also invited us to the open house next Monday AM. I suspect he called, b/c the letters went out so late.
