I must have missed that post. If that ends up being the reason for delay that would actually be great news...more room in the programs! |
Anyone received emails? It's 4:32!
|
| There was another post that they would not be sending out emails this year. |
| According to our mailman, some families in our area received a thin envelope on Saturday. I have no idea whether there's a thick/thin envelope issue with the HGC letters; does anyone else know? However, we have not yet received anything. |
OMG.
|
| in the past, acceptance letters came in a 9 × 12 envelope |
lol, I love that you're asking the mailman. Breathe deeply. It's going to be ok. |
LOL. I wouldn't have thought of it, but my husband like to chat up the mailman, the neighbors, the bus driver, the teachers.... My DS is stomping around the house in a pissy mood because of his anxiety while waiting. It's like having a teenager waiting to get college acceptances. I see myself 20+ years ago waiting for my acceptance to MIT and giving my parents hell. |
| Send him outside to play - the weather is beautiful and this is 4th grade, not MIT |
Yup. Letters to those who did not get in, and emails to those that did get in. |
If it was 20+ years ago and not 30+ years ago you must have had your kid really young! |
Dear God. He is in third grade. THIRD GRADE. Get over yourself. |
| Goodness. Those of you having anxiety about this, please remember this is 3rd grade. I'm curious though, which school do your kids go to? We just don't have this kind of pressure where we are. |
| My dd (Barnsley area) has no clue that the letters are coming this week. We haven't talked about this since they took the test. |
+1 No kid would feel that stressed unless the parents were conveying it. My DC was oblivious. |
