The fact that he makes some of you so incensed is hilarious. I'm not supporting the man, but it's just so obvious what he's doing and how old you are playing right into his hands.

So nothing wrong with someone hacking into your personal emails and releasing them?

This sort of rationalization is why we have had someone like Trump surface. Flip floppng is considered to be just fine.

Gosh you are daft... this includes Trump.

No, you are a moron ........ rationalizing flip flopping because politicians do it is what is wrong no matter who does it.

Kind of like his supporters are playing right into his hands by using fear mongering and stoking hatred?

In GOPLand, do territories not get to vote for President?

Here.... this should help you understand. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_voting_rights_in_Puerto_Rico

Nice attempt at trying to justify Obama’s blunder.

Did you watch the roll call last night? There are exactly 57 jurisdictions with delegates to the convention; 50 states and 7 jurisdictions without electoral votes, including:

American Samoa
Democrats Abroad
Guam
Northern Marianas
Puerto Rico
Unassigned
Virgin Islands

I've heard this "joke" about Obama for years and wondered if the people who repeat were just ignorant of that or if there was some next-level humor I was missing.

That leaves out DC. You should never leave out DC. Especially in this forum.

I'm not rationalizing it. I'm being realistic. You are naive if you think politicians haven't been doing this forever. And Trump is no different.

It is staggering how uninformed people truly are and how stupid they make themselves look.

When someone has Narcissistic Personality Disorder, it is inevitable that they induce intense loathing in everyone around. This is one reason I think Trump will lose bigly. He will ultimately insult and anger everyone, even his own supporters, like he insulted the voters of Iowa. It's just a matter of time.

I can't stand Trump. Sadly, I think he has a good chance of winning because nothing brings out voters more than fear and hatred. HRC voters will hopefully come out in fear of a Trump presidency, but I don't know. It could go his way.

I think eventually, though, he will manage to insult just about everyone.

Obama said he *visited* 57 states and one left to go -- Hawaii -- because he is not allowed to travel there.

So you have travel log that Obama visited "Unassigned"? Sorry no matter how hard you try, the math doesn't work.

At the risk of going off topic, here is what Obama said:

"it is just wonderful to be back in Oregon, and over the last 15 months we've traveled to every corner of the United States. I've now been in fifty .... seven states? I think one left to go. One left to go. Alaska and Hawaii, I was not allowed to go to even though I really wanted to visit but my staff would not justify it."

He didn’t say, “states and territories.” He said, “states.”

And, how did he respond when questioned about this blunder?

Talking with reporters at a later campaign stop, Senator Obama expressed concern that he'd recently misstated both the number of potential victims of a recent cyclone in Burma and the number of states he'd visited, saying:
"I hope I said 100 thousand people the first time instead of 100 million. I understand I said there were 57 states today. It's a sign that my numeracy is getting a little, uh ..."

This is from Snopes, who rated the claim that he said “57 states” true: http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/57states.asp

And, yes, he was campaigning and misspoke. Same as Trump today about NJ. When corrected by a reporter, he corrected himself.
It is a nonissue.

The only fear mongering and hatred I am seeing on this thread is coming from those supporting Hillary.
