I don't think the free media coverage played as well with independents and undecideds as you and he may have hoped.

I have no idea how it would have played with independents. But his moniker of "crooked Hillary" and referencing the private server and emails are meant to reinforce the distrust with which Clinton is viewed by almost 70% of the electorate. If she loses the election, it will be because she is so distrusted.

In the meantime, the media (CNN) is still talking about Trump instead of yesterday's events at the convention.

BTW, I am not a Trump supporter - would never vote for him - but I am at times in awe of how he is able to manipulate the media to get tens of millions of dollars of free publicity. I know those who dislike him can't see beyond that dislike.

He knows how to spin the media, and get himself out there. He's been doing it for a long time. It's funny, though, he claims he hates the media but he always courts them.

CNN. Well, they need to take an occasional break from missing airliners and white girls.
