Starting next week, he will already be getting national security briefings (as they do for all presidential candidates). I got a chill down my spine already when I heard in on NPR. He will blurt out something or other to score a point. National security people are also worried but can't do anything about it because they can not seem to favor a candidate over the other. I wonder, when will national pride prevail over politics? Are Republicans really ready for this? Has anyone read The last Battle by CS Lewis? Trump is the donkey dressed up as Aslan. |
I work for large financial company. Sells to american only consumer. Most of the us citizens have been fired and replaced with cheaper H1Bs. The MBAs that did most of the firing have ALSO been replaced in the last 8 years. We do not hire ordinary college graduates for entry level positions. Company makes over 6 Billion a year, supported by taxpayers. We have tables and tables of Indians that are replaced on a simple notice with other cheaper Indians. TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, Indian H1B body shops. The software is worse and the only thing that keeps the company in place is cheap federal money. Federal government has made the trends WORSE by subsidizing cheap workers to be flown in from India and Mexico to replace local workers. |
How about "The Anti-American" ![]() |
Cheap federal money without good product in return is bad; company should fail. Workers from India: they are welcome. Why should I get the job and not the guy from India? Just because of an accident of birth? Their need is probably greater anyway. |
they are doing what Trump does with his company - making the best financial decisions for the company. That's what he said about using foreign workers and outsourcing his clothing line. |
Because your code is better. But since you cost more, you don't get the job and the company gets bad, ugly code. |
+1 Sadly that didn't stop the dishonest media by pushing this false narrative to deflect. Hillary's servers have been wiped clean and offline for a year or two. How can Trump "invite" Russians to hack them? I guess Russians can fly to New York, sneak in to Hillary's basement and steal the empty hard drives? |
Beyond the impact on today's news cycle, I can't imagine many potential donors are going to start writing checks after this week. Stiff a hotel, say Kaine was governor of New Jersey, and invite Russian hackers to attack the US. |
You sound like an idiot!!!! If those emails contain top gov't secrets why in the hell would you invite two communist countries whom could use the information to our determent?!!! This is treason!! If this isn't solid proof this man is not fit to lead our country I don't know what is. If you are still voting for Trump, please keep it too yourself or anonymous because if you let rational people know, they are sure to lose all respect for you. |
You are a total moron and that is being unkind to morons. If they already have the emails then there is nothing that can be done about it. If they don't have the emails, there is no server to hack. Why can't you understand something so basic? So if those emails have national security classified information, they either already have it or they cannot get it from non-existent servers. You must be one of these low information voters we hear about all the time. |
You completely missed the point. It is immaterial what 'they' have or don't have at this point. Trump was exhorting a hostile foreign government to engage in cyber spying against his opponent for his own personal gain in the election for our next President. No other candidate - certainly not Hillary - couldn't have gotten away with that kind of treasonous statement. Amazingly, the Republican elite have been remarkably silent. This is unprecedented. |
You have fallen into the trap that Trump set. Hillary said those 30,000 emails she deleted were personal. All about yoga and wedding planning. Did she lie? Are there work-related emails in that bunch that she deleted? Because, if they are personal, there would be no information to use to our detriment. But, if they are work-related, it shows Hillary is a liar..... once again. |
I did not miss any point: you are changing what was said to which I responded. Here is what you said: "If those emails contain top gov't secrets why in the hell would you invite two communist countries whom could use the information to our determent?!!!" If they already have the information, they can use it to "our determent" in any event. If they don't have the information, they cannot access the information from a now non-existent server whether Trump or anyone else "invites" them to do so. Now this is quite apart from the fact that the emails he is referring to are the deleted emails that Clinton assured us were private communications that had nothing to do with national security. So how do private emails impact national security? This narrative that Trump was asking Russia to "hack" Clinton's emails has been repeated ad nauseum by the media and they are either being outright dishonest or outright ignorant because there is nothing to hack given that the server is not functional and has not been for a while. Now whether it is appropriate for a candidate to encourage a foreign country to interfere in the elections of this country is a valid point although the consequences are something that would be decided by voters at the polls just like other things that Trump has said. But to argue - as you and some in the media have done - that this is "treasonous" is idiotic. First, the definition of treason in the US does not fit what Trump did. So we are going to charge Trump with treason because he encouraged Russia to release Clinton's emails about yoga and Chelsea's wedding plans?? It really is ludicrous when people blindly just repeat the claptrap that the media drones on about. As far as Clinton not getting away with such a "treasonous" statement, she actually got away with jeopardizing national security using a private server. Finally, I am not a Trump supporter. I think he is unqualified to be president but I am not a Clinton supporter either because I think that she is a fundamentally dishonest person who has appallingly bad judgement. I have been a consistent supporter of Democrats for decades including voting for Obama on both occasions. What I find offensive is when the media displays its bias by just making ridiculous statements which are than repeated by others as if they are gospel. |
I'm certainly glad you're not my spouse and the parent of my kids. Will you be giving away your house next? |
I honestly cannot believe the mental gymnastics people are going through to support trump's statement to Russia. I can't believe this man is going to start getting security briefings. God help us all. |
