You don't want your house to stink like your nasty clothes, hair and mouth stink like, so you want to smoke outside? Well guess what? Now MY house stinks because I opened my windows for some fresh air and smoke from your nasty ass cigarettes is blowing all through my house. You're a selfish, disgusting asshole. Go smoke in your house!!!

I'm a former smoker, and like most former smokers can't stand to be around cigarettes and don't have much respect for people who continue to smoke, and I think you're being waaay over the top here.

Calm Down!
I hate SMOKING
But I know, love and respect a few folks who I know are smokers.
It is dangerously bad habit and addiction but I don't hate people because of it.
You are way over the top OP!!!!!!

Love, a nonsmoker

I don't, but my 10 year old does. I'll be sure to join him next time. I'm not sure if the gag is from the smoke or how ugly you look with smoke pouring out of your wrinkled face.

So you're going to encourage your child's obnoxious behavior? Stellar parenting.

To annoy and shame smokers? I'm ok with that

Perhaps you should look in the mirror the next time you feel the need to shame someone.

Like you're trying to do to me right now?

I guess we need a list of who it is okay to shame and who it isn't huh?

Smokers - ok
White people - ok
Republicans - ok
Rich people - ok
SAHMs - ok

people who shame the above - not ok
fat people - not ok
self diagnosed "mentally ill" - not ok
took on major debt to major in something useless and are now destitute - not ok

It isn't o.k. to shame fat people? Haha. Yeah right. Even the White House is fighting the war on obesity.

Start a thread here about how obesity is unhealthy and avoidable and/or how "fat acceptance" sets a bad president for young people and see how quickly it gets shut down.

Op here, I totally agree with you about all except the part where you said it's ok to shame smokers. Based on this thread, the smokers are winning!

And one more thing, I started this thread so I could vent. I went crazy in my first post and a couple other responses for fun. And it helped me feel better about the asshole smokers!

Look at the bright side, at least smokers will die early. A pretty ugly death drowning in their own mucus.

I am coming to the realization that I don't want to live to be really old and should maybe consider taking smoking back up.

Ban steaks on the grill because now my house smells like steak And all I can afford is chicken

Yes, sure, because the smell of steak can totally give you cancer, emphysema, and heart disease.

...and you think grill smoke can't give you cancer and emphysema? Why is that smoke exempt?

Have fun with your slow drawn out suicide. Why slowly suffocate to death when you can just put a gun in your mouth aND pull the trigger.

You're not so bright.

If so many people are bothered by it and think it directly impacts public health, why not pressure the tobacco companies to close or only sell overseas?

Why not let grown adults live their own lives and smoke if they want to. I saw people smoking today. It didn't impact me or cause me any inconvenience. They know damn well that it is a bad habit but they choose to smoke anyway.

I used to smoke and I chose to quit. Those folks can quit too. Or they can keep on smoking. It is not up to me to decide that for them.

Amen. OP, you seem like a whiny, smug, obnoxious person. Hate to break it to you, but you aren't holier-than-thou because you don't smoke.

Right back at ya!

Is this really a big issue? Who smokes anymore? I can count on one hand ten number of people I know who smoke.
