| Smokers with health issues resulting from smoking should not be entitled to healthcare |
| I quit smoking for a month, read this thread last night, and bought cigarettes today and smoked one. Ugh. I thought this one outside in my yard is for YOU op. |
Congrats, your pathetic!
|
Same with fat people. |
Don't start again! You can do it! |
You can't go down this road. Overweight people, smokers, sun worshippers, skinny fat people, sedentary people, people who overtrain-- anyone who causes their own health problems should be denied Health Care? Stupid idea |
Ugh, me three. Smoking is so great. Except for the cancer. Sigh. |
|
This thread is incredible, and is everything I love/hate about the DC area.
Listen - I come from a place where it is way, waaaaay more common for people to smoke. And for people to start smoking at a young age, and smoke until they die. You are in a special snowflake DC bubble, where hardly anyone smokes, so you feel like you have a right to freak out when someone dares to do it around you. Smoking is gross, but it's legal and it's up to you to figure out how to deal with it. Close your windows and suck it up, buttercup. |
What are you, a socialist who thinks everyone should get health care? Not just the people DCUM deems acceptable? |
Bring on the DCUM Death Squad! - former smoker who loves to catch a whiff of that lovely smoke |
NP. they shouldn't get denied health care, but their premiums should be higher for the obese and smokers. Smokers do pay more under my plan. Anyone can be overweight due to genetics or a health issue, obese is entirely your doing though. |
+1. Smoking in the DMV is such a non-issue. Not a lot of people smoke, and there's comprehensive smoking bans in every local jurisdiction. Some people just like to find something to complain about I guess. |
Hear hear! |
| Me too. Havent seen my in laws for two years because they all smoke |
Hmm I'm used to seeing smokers with Mountain Dew and cheap beer while yelling at their baby daddy/baby momma or one of their five children. |
