What makes a man a catch?

4. Good manners/ upbringing
5. Good head on his shoulders
6. Responsible/nice

Bit of an oxymoron.

No no. Huge thick one. With a nice curve to it.

Also, must love cats.

What do you plan to have him do with cats?

LOL Yes! A nice big thick one that curves up attached to a guy who can work his hips.

It just looks weird to me when it's straight.

No shit? This information suddenly gave me a new appreciative perspective on DH, who is 6' 2", makes mid 100s and is currently snoring on the sofa in a very boring way.

You wish.

Well, therein lies your problem. You're not supposed to just "look" at it darlin'

And money. He's got to bring in enough money so that finances are not a constant source of stress (where can we live, where can the kids go to school, can we travel, will we ever save for retirement, etc.).

What do you mean? That most don't make it? Or that it's only prestigious if you are at a really top school?

As someone over 6' tall, educated at the PhD level -- and I know how to use it with a 200K salary, I must say, that here on DCUM, I don't have a chance. Why? Well,

1) I am a bit overweight (6'2, 240 is a BMI over 30, but I am a large build, and would not look right with a 20 BMI).
2) I do not have a 7" penis. Its size depends on how you measure it. Using the "measurement approaches", it is 6.5"; but I am a grower, not a shower.
3) I am not particularly healthy, but am fighting the fight. On DCUM, you should throw your sick hubby to the curb. Heart condition? Meh. Cancer? Probably his fault.
4) I am 50+. You see, everyone wants a guy that makes 200K but is 30.
5) I have too much body hair, facial hair, and head hair
....

On the plus side, I married, faithful, I know how to you my 6.5" (as well as my hands), our house is mostly paid for, I have I know how to use my hands when my penis is not enough, and other things too. Oh, and I understand the importance of Baseball.

I think the PP was equating prestige with income. I would much rather spend the evening with a Professor who makes 60K than a lawyer who makes 250K. But, my one requirement is she is female (I am a straight male).

A catch in my book is a man so unique that he stands apart from the rest of the other men. He is like finding a needle in a haystack, a true gem of a person in general and someone who needs to get snatched up quick before someone else gets to him.

My ideal catch: Handsome, good career, excellent manners and has a full amount of integrity too.

Someone who is of good moral character and treats ALL people with true respect regardless if they are strangers or friends.

Overall, someone who doesn't take relationships for granted. Someone who is willing and able to contribute his part to keeping a relationship hot.

Where are you at???? Lol.
