Time for you to turn off your television.

Meaning maybe, just maybe, something went wrong with a case or a volatile past/current patient. Psychiatry can be a hazardous and dangerous career field.

You mean like the movie "What About Bob?"

Just going on pure speculation and my own truth that I made up.

Of course she might like crazy guys and it could be a love tryst gone wrong.

Fixed that for you

Mr. Black, it's wise to get all your internet time in now. They won't allow that in the maximum prison that's surely in your future. Enjoy this spring, it will be your last.

And maybe, just maybe, the moon is made of cheese.

Also, she was a psychologist, not a psychiatrist.

Is this distinction supposed to undermine PP's point?

OJ Simpson killed his ex-wife with their young children asleep in the house. An abuser who murders usually couldn't care less about the kids.

umm, he was found not guilty!

We live in the neighborhood and the Dad was very friendly and always out and about with the kids and the dog. You hardly ever saw the mom. Makes us so sad that these kids have already lost their mom and may soon lose their Dad too. Such a tragic time in our neighborhood.

Gary Condit?

^^^^

I realize the circumstances are not the same, but that dude was the obvious suspect for so many reasons...except he didn't do it.

But one difference is pretty huge: Gary Condit did not have a history of violent behavior toward Chandra Levy.

It is VERY difficult to get a restraining order against the father of your children. She must have had proof that he abused her or threatened her in a meaningful and very scary way.

Thus the Condit story is completely irrelevant here.

Wow the search warrant gave a lot of chilling details..

"One of the first details revealed in the search warrant is also one of the most disturbing: “the children advised that their mother was dead inside their home,” meaning that Black’s children, just and 3 and 5 years old, were the ones to make the gruesome discovery of her body in the upstairs bedroom on April 17, stabbed to death with a “large wound to her neck area.” "

The article also says the victim had hair in her hand that they're testing for DNA.

It's profoundly disturbing that her children were the ones who found her.

I will be very interested to hear of the results of the DNA testing on the hairs. If the hairs were forcibly pulled from the killer there may be some roots, which may mean partial or full nuclear DNA profiles can be obtained.

Lot of hate for husbands expressed in this thread so far.

Divorced?

One does not need to be divorced or hate a spouse to understand the meaning of crime stats. Why do you think the police almost always investigate the possibility of a spouse's involvement?

Umm, you are kidding, right? he killed his wife and had excellent lawyers. He lost the civil trial for wrongful death.

I can not imagine an involved father stabbing the mom to death and then leaving his young kids alone to discover her body and wander the house completely unsupervised.
