Mother found dead in Arlington home

I was wondering if perhaps the poor mom's murder had to do with her work at the FBI. I really hope they get to the bottom of this quickly.

Must be some red faces for all of you who had already convicted the husband.

What are you talking about? Because he hasn't been arrested yet and is cooperating? Even if it wasn't him, most murders of women are at the hands of partners or recent partners. it's hardly a crazy assumption.

No one here "convicted" him. Read back through the thread.

People speculate about crimes. Its what they do. Get over it, PP.

I cannot even imagine what it must be like for the mother of two small children to have another human being suffocate them until they are dead. Horrible.

They haven't cleared him as a suspect. He's cooperating, which he needs to do unless he wants to look obviously guilty.

I thought she was stabbed?

I also wondered if it might have anything to do with her FBI work.

calling bull shit - the thread, thankfully, went in a different direction. Had it continued on a path, like the original thread about the UVA rape case, the guy would have been skewered without any evidence to suggest he was the one. Just because folks "like" to speculate doesn't make it right and really detracts from the true sadness of this horrific crime.

Since she had a restraining order against her soon-to-be ex it was hardly a big jump to guess that the husband did it. Much more likely than any other theory.

She was stabbed to death. I still think husband most likely suspect. Even if he didn't actually do it; could have been murder for hire. but I have no doubt he was involved.

I think you have her confused with the UMW college student in Fburg who was strangled allegedly by her male roommate last week. I think this happened on the same date as this murder.

Just because he isn't being called a "suspect" officially in the press by law enforcement doesn't mean he isn't one. I worked for years in the DA office. He is cooperating means he has agreed to come in for questioning, submit his DNA, etc. There has been no mention of robbery or sexual assault, etc., in addition there has been no information re that the children are with their father. Instead it appears they are with another relative, which would lead me to speculate the husband is an unofficial suspect which is 100% normal given most women who are murdered are done so by partner. What he hasn't been officially is "cleared as a suspect".
