I'm sorry. Let me rephrase. I was projecting, I guess. All I was trying to say is that I sense a spirit , but in some ways I feel totally ridiculous and think maybe I've watched too many scary movies! Wasn't trying to defy anything or whatever it is exactly you were accusing me of. |
| OP, have you woken up yet and realized that there is no such thing as a psychic? You know, as all the great psychics do. That life is really just an aggregate of experiences and you start having a lot more money and a lot more self respect when you realize that. This coming from a former psychic. |
| Is it going to be OK? |
| In what language do you speak to your Spirit Guide and the spirit guides of your clients? Do you babble or improvise language? Are all spirits fluent in English? |
| What if your Spirit Guide is wrong? Are you a passive vessel in the psychic reading process, or are you able to discern whether the Spirit Guide is totally off? |
|
Assuming you are a rational human being, what scientific evidence, if any, would support your notion that you can somehow peer into a complete stranger's past, present, and future?
Why do you have this particular ability while others do not? Can anyone become a psychic if they really try hard enough? What makes you so stinkin special? |
Not OP but there is the scientific and there is the spiritual. Scientists can't explain the spiritual. I saw a few spirits before and felt their presence. I knew who they were though. Some are just MORE spiritual than others. Sometimes my dreams can foretell or are my insight to the spirit world but others are not or have low spirituality. It's just something you are born with. I don't know why. I also don't fear the spiritual. |
Would love to know this too. They horrific things that are done to innocent people are what made me stop believing in God. |
Not OP, and a bit off topic, but I read a book once that sort of addressed this. The book suggested that souls had the ability to choose the life they would lead before they were born. The souls would know, before being born, that these tragedies would happen and accepted that. (The book didn't go into details that the soul would know specifically what would happen, but maybe just their life would be shorter). The reason why they would choose to be born into that specific life varied, for example, it could be based on how the soul needed to progress and grow (going through the difficult times would open the soul up to experience different things) or it could be tied to how that soul was going to impact the lives of others, even if here for only a short period of time. Also, the book indicated that souls were tied together as a family throughout time. So your mom, could reincarnate as your son's daughter. The generations blur and you all move forward together with the hopeful stated goal of progression. Not progression towards a specific goal, but simply to be a better being. I thought this was a very interesting way to view life, how we are connected and what our purpose in life might be, which is to try to be the best person that we can. I haven't determined the extent to which I believe, but I thought it was very interesting. |
| I often have thought that my family, meaning my own husband and children, have been together in some way. I was adopted and I don't have that same feeling about my adopted family. It turns out my genealogy with my husband is very similar with regard to our ancestry. .even our dogs. |
Is OP no longer answering questions?
|
I really like this, PP. Would you happen to have the name of the book? |
| OP, please come back. This is really interesting and I would love to learn more! |
| Bump |

I love this thread, OP.
What do you call this situation? One morning I was in my apartment having random thoughts as we do. Suddenly I found myself thinking about the film 'Brokeback Mountain' and trying to remember who starred in it. I remembered Jake Gyllenhaal but had to reach to remember Heath Ledger. There were no emotions, but I remember looking at the clock when I remembered that Heath Ledger was also in the film. That night at work things were slow (I was working as a waitress) and one of my coworkers rushed up to me and said "You'll never believe it! Heath Ledger has died!" I felt really spooked because I'd had a distinctive thought about him that day, and usually (obviously) did not. Later, when reading articles about his death, I noticed that his "time of death" was just around the time I'd had that thought about him and looked at the clock. Can you explain this? |
