I am a psychic. Ask me anything.

What do you call this situation? One morning I was in my apartment having random thoughts as we do. Suddenly I found myself thinking about the film 'Brokeback Mountain' and trying to remember who starred in it. I remembered Jake Gyllenhaal but had to reach to remember Heath Ledger. There were no emotions, but I remember looking at the clock when I remembered that Heath Ledger was also in the film.

That night at work things were slow (I was working as a waitress) and one of my coworkers rushed up to me and said "You'll never believe it! Heath Ledger has died!" I felt really spooked because I'd had a distinctive thought about him that day, and usually (obviously) did not. Later, when reading articles about his death, I noticed that his "time of death" was just around the time I'd had that thought about him and looked at the clock.

Can you explain this?

This kind of thing has happened to me too. Not OP but I believe in psychic energy.

Oh please. You have thousands of thoughts each day and they pass through with nothing to remind you that you had them. This one time you had something remind you that you thought it and you think you're psychic.

OP, regarding reincarnation, what insight do you have into why some individuals end up with disabilities? I often wonder about my brother because he cannot communicate (speak, sign or write, nothing) but he is clearly very intelligent. I wonder how much he understands - I think he understands a lot. He seems like an old soul.

Would love to know this too. They horrific things that are done to innocent people are what made me stop believing in God.

Not OP, and a bit off topic, but I read a book once that sort of addressed this. The book suggested that souls had the ability to choose the life they would lead before they were born. The souls would know, before being born, that these tragedies would happen and accepted that. (The book didn't go into details that the soul would know specifically what would happen, but maybe just their life would be shorter). The reason why they would choose to be born into that specific life varied, for example, it could be based on how the soul needed to progress and grow (going through the difficult times would open the soul up to experience different things) or it could be tied to how that soul was going to impact the lives of others, even if here for only a short period of time.

Also, the book indicated that souls were tied together as a family throughout time. So your mom, could reincarnate as your son's daughter. The generations blur and you all move forward together with the hopeful stated goal of progression. Not progression towards a specific goal, but simply to be a better being.

I thought this was a very interesting way to view life, how we are connected and what our purpose in life might be, which is to try to be the best person that we can. I haven't determined the extent to which I believe, but I thought it was very interesting.

I really like this, PP. Would you happen to have the name of the book?

PP here - I am wracking my brain and trying to google for the name....I will update once I remember or find it

It wasn't a book, it was a movie (although it is based on a book). I watched it years ago, but some of its key points really stuck with me. Astral City: A spiritual journey

Interesting theory! I wonder if these include pets. I miss the one I lost recently a lot. Brought him from overseas. Sometimes I think every soul that touches our lives are souls we meet again.

Every true, genuine psychic will tell you that the future is NOT set in stone. Psychics do not predict concrete destinies, we predict likelihoods. We can see what path you will go down on if you remain in the same pattern of being as you are when you come to us. Our job is to empower you to make the choices that are in your highest interest, not to tell you what your life will be.

That being said, there are certain paths that our souls choose to take before they come into physical being, so the challenges that life has in store for you will likely find you, in some form or another, no matter what path you choose to take. However every challenge is a gift because it encourages us to grow, and if we manage to achieve that growth early on in our lives, the future challenges will disappear because the lesson has been learned.

Short answer: You have total free will. My job is to tell you what your choices will likely lead to and what choice might be in your best interest.

So basically psychics are statisticians with zero magic powers.

OP, thanks for this. I waiver between being a believer and a skeptic. It sounds like meditation is the gateway. Can you get more in touch with your life's purpose this way? And, do we have a purpose beyond just living life?

OP, is there power in witchcraft? Do witches exist and are there any male witches?

My 3 yo DD has the uncanny ability to guess correctly the register number we will get at the Whole Foods in Friendship Heights. We could be 6 people back in one of three lines and almost every single time she will, unprompted, say, "we will get number X" sure enough its number X. One time she said, "we will get 4" and the machine called out 1 but the person leaving came right back to the register and a sales person said that she would help us at register 4. Its really starting to freak me out. So much so that I don't like to take her anymore. Does she have some connection to the universe that I can't understand?

OP, have you ever worked with a client who had lost someone to suicide? What happened? Is suicide wrong? Do you believe that "we are only given as much as we can handle", or is it possible to be, well, just dealt an impossible burden? What happens to someone if/after they commit suicide?
