Not to discourage you but last year we were #5 on the waitlist for ps3 and never got a call.

Not to make you feel worse, but the word on the street is that all but one of the families at SWS accepted their spots, and the one that declined was pk4. Sorry.

Oops. Sorry for repeat info.

Got an email from IT today offering a first grade spot. I think we were single didgets. Choosing MV.

Any calls at all this week? Amazing that waitlists aren't moving at all.

We were admitted to CM last week for first grade following our second grader's acceptance a few weeks prior. Not sure how the wait list is moving now.

Of course they aren't. They were ranked! So, unless you got a spot off of one of the couple schools not doing the common lottery, there is little reason to think that there would be any movement. That was the whole point.

I thought they would move 3-4-5 spaces. Nothing is depressing.

I agree. I thought we had a shot with some numbers in the 20s. Not even close.

So #11 for bridges is not going to happen?

It's only May. Plenty of time for some movement, especially if you have low numbers are schools that aren't super popular.

I think there will be a little more movement in September in k-5. This is DC, and a few people will move etc. In addition, I am not sure that all of those elementary spots are listed. Suppose a rising K student alreasdy in a public school entered the lottery, got intoMV, and took the spot. That opens up a spot in the student's former school. If that former school is CapCity, the principal pulls someone off of the waitlist immediately. If that former school is Powell, does the principal fill that sdpot immediately or hold onto it until they know what IB enrollment will be like?

Do you mind telling what you are leaving? Did you have an accepted sibling?
