This means they do not get braids, extensions, weaves, etc. They have hair that looks as close to a white woman's as possible.

No twenty something WASP will give you the time of day if you have braids or anything that appears to be "ethnic".

But those ethnic styles are like catnip for other kinds of white men, mainly the hipsters. They go for women with long, Poetic Justice style braids, locs, or curly fros. Pretty much any kind of hairstyle that you would see at Afropunk.

Because of the extensive racism that goes along with that history. of course, there's as much racism oop North, but it's the racism many on here have grown up with. So I guess that makes it better, much like I grew up with Southern style racism and that just makes it better.
