| Go watch the movie Metropolitan. Super dated but will give you a sense of NYC preppies. |
| You're aiming too low, my friend. You need to seek out an Arabian with oil money. That kind of lifestyle wil blow WASPy-ness out the water. |
And the dynastic politics of scheming against the other wives and their children to promote the interests of your children will give you an interest in life long after he has moved on to collecting younger models. |
| I know a pair of black sisters who did this. Both married to wealthy white guys who look the preppy part (neither is actually old prep $ though). The women are amazing: smart, HYP educated, funny, low key. One couple met in law school, not sure about the other couple. |
+1. You've read Gatsby, right? It's been a long time but I thought part of the point of the book was it showed the deep immorality of the WASP class thru Tom and also through Daisy's refusal to leave him. IMO, alcoholism is a big part of WASP culture so beware. |

| You need to move to the northeast. That is WASPlandia. |
| I know this is entirely beside the point, but Gatsby wasn't a WASP. He just pretended to be. You want the Tom and Daisy Buchanons of the world. |
| This thread was started four years ago. She's probably got her dreary WASP-type husband, and has moved on to complaining about how cold and sexless her marriage is. |
| Are WASPs in demand? |

AA women married to a wonderful WASP man here. And here's how it worked for me:
1. I look way better than all the other women in his social circle. 2. Didn't go to a HBCU. We met at an Ivy League school. We are episcopalian and I think you have gotten good advice with respect to that being a good place to meet the type of men you are looking for. However, I think you would probably have better luck with someone slightly older than you, maybe divorced because most early 30s/late 20s WASPs I know are married or in serious relationships with people they went to college or boarding/prep school with. Maybe someone that is divorced would be more open to try something different. |
