Where to find a WASP husband

OP, what church do you attend? You could start by switching to an Episcopal church in NW DC or Chevy Chase.

She is not asking how to date Bubba, Billy Bob, Guido or Joe.

She wants to date Gatsby. WASP is a perfectly appropriate term I this situation. Nothing racist about it.
Uh, except that Bubba and Bill Bob and Joe are most likely WASPs, which stands for White Anglo-Saxon Protestant. I think OP is looking for an upper-class WASP.

Also, I don't think it's a racist term at all. It's merely identifying a demographic group which used to hold complete sway over US culture. While less powerful these days, they (we, I guess, I'm one) are still hanging on.

Weird that Asian women would be fine for a lot of guys for whom Black is not OK.

OP, the only time I've noticed these type of dressing and WASP behavior was when we stayed at Omni Springs Resort...I felt uncomfortable being there. You should check out the place, I woke up in the a.m. and saw a few "young men" in pink collar shirts, it was weird.

Gatsby is a poseur. I'm assuming you want the real deal.

Fraternities at SEC schools, but you're a little old for that.

OP, I commend you for having the self-awareness to know what you're looking for, but as you say you are interested in this culture, I must caution you: These types are often insufferable horrors as mates. Good luck, but don't say we didn't tell you.

OP here. Thanks for the great advice. Hmm, I actually stopped going to church after I left for college lol. I can definitely get back into the right church.

can't figure out if you're a troll or just a bit shallow.

OP you're making this more complicated than it has to be. I mean this is men we're talking about right?
You've got a foolproof means of manipulation between your legs...use it.
Any woman can have any man she wants if she puts her powers of persuasion on him.

My parents were both teachers and I became exposed to WASP culture only after college (I went to an HBC). Now I am really enamored by that culture and lifestyle, The Great Gatsby kind of people. The kind of guys who live in Georgetown or Chevy Chase and wear pink bow ties and Brooks Brothers and belong to country clubs and wear tennis whites to the court.

Do these kinds of guys date black women? Where do I meet these guys? What do they look for in a wife? It's not MONEY I'm after, just that culture and lifestyle.

Please don't reply if you just want to criticize me. You're entitled to your opinion, and I'm entitled to my preferences. Don't respond to this thread if you just want to boast about how you didn't marry for superficial reasons - good for you. You are not me. Don't reply to this thread if that's all you've got to say.

If you have answers to my questions ("Do these kinds of guys date black women? Where do I meet these guys? What do they look for in a wife?") or if you are a man who fits this criteria and want to share some insights, I'd love to hear from you!

The lifestyle you are describing requires a lot of money. its like saying you want to date a guy who owns a private jet because you like airplanes. Fine, but by doing so you are also looking for someone very rich.

And rich men are in high demand. Nothing in your description of yourself suggests that you would be able to land such a man. Your requirement is not that different from saying you would like to date a movie star. Uhm, ok, but so would a zillion other women.

Just curious, why the religious limitation? Why wouldn't you consider Atheist, Buddhist, Catholic, Jewish or Muslim men?

That kind of religious limitation is ridiculous if you want in the DMV now.
