LOLOLOL. Although it's kinda not funny. If that's where she ended up, she's probably trying to figure out what's wrong with her, what's wrong with him, OMG my in-laws are killing me. That's typically what happens when you get what you thought you wanted but things are still effed up. Maybe some counseling, individual therapy, an affair or two...then right back here to DCUM... WHUT WENT WRONG? |

From a WASP who grew up in DC (Chevy Chase, actually)
If we're being honest: No, they don't. The vast majority do not. My brother, for example, who is what you've described, flat out told me when I tried to set him up with a friend who is light-skinned Latina, that unless a woman is lily-white and fellow WASP, he just doesn't feel attracted. And, if I'm honest, that is my dating history as well- I've only ever dated fellow WASPs. I think it's just a cultural thing of what we are raised to be attracted to? Our parents put a lot of emphasis on heritage- i.e. your ancestor did this, X person is "new money", etc- so that becomes sunk into your ideas of what you like about a person, the shared background and understandings, etc. BUT I will say there are certain WASPs who may not fit in very well who would probably be open to dating women of other races. Find one who was a bit of a misfit in high school/middle school, and they might very well not be as concerned with the social norms and just happy to have a beautiful woman with similar interests. If we are talking genuine WASP, old money, etc- that's kind of the best you could hope for. If you are interested in someone who is not a WASP, but similarly enthused by our lifestyle, I would think you would find plenty of Italian, Jewish, etc men who would be happy to date you and would look great in a pink bow tie. I wish you luck, and hope my honesty didn't come across as rude. I know if I was in your position I would want straight talk and the real story |

No, sadly. I grew up in this kind of community and most don't really date AA. I don't think it's racial prejudice it's just these groups tend to live in predominantly white communities and there's not really opportunity to date anyone outside of their race.
That or there is prejudicial undertones. I don't know. |

I'm a NP, I agree with the PP white men tend to go for Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, Stacey Dash, Keri Hilson, Nia Long, Taraji Henson, Halle Berry, etc., They're exotically beautiful.
