Immune IQ allergy test for pets?

Anonymous
Please note that my daughter sent the IQ test for her dog
on Feb. 10th, 2014. She gave her email address as
roverman0407@gmail.com but as of today she has not received the results. Please check your records to find those results for her. After reading some of the testimonials that are not in your favor I'm being to think
they may be right.

My experience with this is different from others. It did show my dog being allergic to just about everything, but when we began to eliminate those items she began to itch less. The test seems to look at the most common ingredients in dog foods and I am having a lot of difficulty in finding a food that she is not allergic to at least one of the ingredients. I am pleased with what I got and would like to have my other dog tested as well. The test came quickly. It did take about a month to get back, but they did say from the start that the results come in 14-25 business days. I had a coupon from coupaws and got a good deal.

Our other pup seemed to be in good shape but his coat got softer from the salmon food as well. they both love it. it's from Taste of the Wild and the flavor is Pacific Stream. We get it at a local PetCo affilliate.

Yes, my dog is on a seafood and chickpea diet.

Vet said that due to all the wheat fillers in pet food, dog are now being born with horrible allergies and unprescendented rates. All of the wheat just inflames their bodies and causes genetic mutations that get passed down the chain.

Vet did warn me that the dog could end up allergic to sea food too down the line as well. The allergies have cleared up 90%, but I still do have to give my dog a zyrtec in the morning so she does not scratch like crazy. If she eats chicken or wheat her hair falls off in huge patches, looking like she has mange and she starts getting horrible skin infections. She is a mutt BTW.

Sent my test in around the beginning of Feb and have yet to hear. I called and they "put in a ticket" but couldn't tell me anything.....

Had my dog tested last autumn. He is allergic to most everything. I found a dog food where the first 5 items wasn't a problem. Treats are a different story. I mix pumpkin and chickpea flour into cookies which he loves but I wouldn't eat them. Better Than dog treats come the closest because they are made with potato flour. Immune IQ took a awhile but it sure helped with the scratching and infected ears.

I just did the Dr. Dodds Hemopet allergy saliva test for food allergies and got the results. While I am pleased with the service I received, and they do appear to be very professional from that aspect, the saliva test results were quite inaccurate for my very allergic bulldog.

For instance several food groups such as eggs, fish, potatoes came back as either negative or a weak positive but my dog has severe and immediate allergic responses to each one.

Perhaps this test still needs to be refined, but for my experience, it didn't help at all in my bulldog's case whereas the blood allergy test which my bulldog also underwent was more accurate for the food groups that it tested for, although it didn't include all of the different food items that the Nutriscan saliva test did.

This product is a con. There is no scientific basis. You are better spending your money on a veterinary dermatologist. Unfortunately there is no quick fix for allergies . You need to follow through a logical process to identify and rule out the possible causes.
Yes treat for parasites, do a diet trial, and an isolation trial.
then talk to your vet about treatment options

I just bought this from Groupon and was skeptical of everyone's posts because I had a Black Lab who's allergy report was seven pages long, but that was done professionally from a vet. I knew this wouldn't be the most accurate results, however I hoped it would be a place to start with my boyfriend's Lab/Boxer mix. However, after reading more than one response of people sending in two different tests from the same animal and receiving two completely different sets of results I quickly cancelled my order. Looks like we'll just have to continue saving up for a proper allergy test and possibly try raw. I guess this just goes to show why you should never buy a dog from a breeder that doesn't do genetics testing.

I ordered it and received the product within a week. I received the results back and I must say I am really glad I did this. I couldn't afford to test my dog any other way because it is so expensive. The only trouble now is trying to find food, treats, and dental chews she can eat. If I can help her feel better it will be worth it.

After reading all the feedback here I think I won't bother with this product. To bad. I would have loved to get to the bottom of my dogs itching.

groupon has a deal for this right now. i did it awhile back and decided to make my own dog food because all she could eat was StellanChewy, primal and raw. She isnt big on how slimmy the raw is either. I noticed now they test for pork which would be a nice inexpensive protein to use. Going to try it onve more. Heads up they are super slow with returning emails and results.

I ordered this from groupon, and it took 3 weeks for the test to arrive. I'm sending it in tomorrow. I want to get to the bottom of my cats allergies. I'm scared after reading these posts. This company may be bogus...I will let you know more when I get results back....

No wonder living social and groupon are offering these deals! ImmuneIQ offers $35 for each customer referral! http://www.affiliatescout.com/immuneiq-pet-allergy-test/
maybe they are a company just trying to get off the ground, but it makes me feel a bit used and a bit leary.
