I bought it, received the test within two weeks, and had email results within a week of sending the samples back. My westi-poodle mix is allergic to a little over 50 things. That sounds like a lot, but they tested for about 150. I'm going to change his diet and see if it helps, will report back.
I'm glad to hear that people are getting their tests and results. I bought one of the LS deals...and 33 days later, I'm still waiting to receive the test. I contacted the company 26 after I ordered the tests from them and they send a generic email saying it'll take 3-5 days over the 2 weeks...which means...17-19 days....do they know that 33 is more than 19? Scares me to think what the test results could be especially after reading this review. Hopefully LS won't do business with them again.
I ordered a test 8/5 and never got a confirmation email. I emailed to double check they got my order and several days later, got a reply that yes, they did. I waited 2 weeks, but didn't get a test. I emailed again, and this time they said they didn't have an order for me! After 2 more weeks of dumb emails (they said that the post office must have lost my results, except I never sent them results...) I am still waiting, though according to the last email, there is a test in the mail for me. I understand that the actual processing might take awhile with all the extra orders from the Living Social deal, but COME ON, they are sending me a cotton swab and a plastic baggie. They need to figure out their customer service and order process. I am dreading how long results might take to get, and if they are accurate or not. Their website says they measure "allergies and sensitivities" but I don't think they are able to tell you how "allergic" or "sensitive" your pet might be. So your pet might show reactions to 50+ items but might only have serious reactions to a few of those.
I was the poster from 9/10 who was still waiting on their kit. I just got it today! Only 37 days later.
I ordered the test kit five weeks ago and still have not received it, although they guarantee shipment within two weeks of receiving the order. I sent an email to them after three weeks and received what seemed to be an automated reply saying that they were overwhelmed by the response to the Living Social promotion and are working as quickly as they can. That was two weeks ago and I still haven't received it. I will be very skeptical of their test results (if I ever do get the kit), and will never use Living Social (who told me I had to contact vetDVM, they couldn't help me) or vetDVM again.
I ordered the test from LS too. I guess the company was bombarded with LS deals. It took almost 3 weeks before my tester arrived. However, I got the results in less than two weeks. I'm amazed at all the things my dog is allergic too. I'm now doing an elimination diet. I paid $300 for my vet to do a type of allergy testing and the results came back a 2. They usually only give a serum at 5 and above. The vet said we could try the serum. It's $1000 for a year, and we have to use it for a year to see if it works. I will stick with the ImmuneIQ results and as I said, try the elimination diet.
I ordered the test thru Living Social back on 8/14 and emailed them after three weeks having never received it. They wee quick to email me to tell me they would send another test kit however, I STILL have not received it after 4 weeks. Ready to get reimbursed and skip it altogether after waiting so long. Bummed this was too good to be true!
I ordered it also and just got my results last night. It actually seems like it could be pretty accurate. There were lots of things on my dog's "allergic" list, but many of them I'd never give her anyway. One in particular was peanut butter, which we give her as a treat, and it seems to correlate with when she has allergy outbreaks. Should have realized it sooner! I don't think its a scam but I also don't think it should substitute for vet test if allergies are a real and serious problem for your pet. Ours are not terrible and crop up only here and there.
I bought the Living Social deal and sent in the samples. I already knew my dog was allergic to some things like Fleas and wheat. The results came in and confirmed my suspicions along with a long list of other allergens. Now I am going to take her back to the vet and show them the list and see what the next step should be. I think it was totally worth the money to give my poor baby some relief.

I agree with all comments above. I truly believe this is a scam. They are telling my my dog can't eat pretty much ANYTHING. Really??
Also, I ordered a shampoo/conditioner and never received it. I paid $39 and when I asked for a refund, they refunded me $35. You better believe I'm fighting them for my $4. I already wasted $35 on the useless kit. |
I finally got my results emailed a couple of days ago...and my 8 month old maltipoo is allergic to just about everything! The ONLY protein that is on his good list is buffalo/bison. I already have him on Natural Balance limited ingredient diet....with no grain and only duck. Just not sure about this process. The results said if you have any questions to email them...which I did several days ago and have yet to hear back. Have a feeling they are going to promote some online products and get a kick-back!
I ordered 6 weeks ago and still haven't received anything. After contacting them numerous times I got a bunch of excuses......USPS lost it.....it was shipped again....sending a replacement....blah blah. At this point I asked for a refund which they said they would give me for only the $4 shipping. They told me I had to get the $35 refund from living social. What BS. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!
Definitely a scam! Customer service is horrible! Do not order.
Report them to social living website...they just started selling them there...and rate them on sites like Angie's list. Definitely a questionable company. How do they sleep at night??
Thanks everyone. They're on doggyloot right now and I almost ordered it.
