Damn right. My son was always asking why we didn't have a top of the line luxury car and European trips like his friends. Grand Canyon just wasn't making it. So I went over to the neighborhood public high school and registered him. I told Mr. Private School Kid that we are now able to go to Europe, and I'm going to the car dealership in the morning to get the Benz of my dream and kick my 5-year old car to the curb. After crying and begging, Mr. Private School (all his life) Kid said he'd rather stay in private school and the Alaska trip sounded great.
Fast forward 8 years later. Mr. Private School Kid gave mom a used Benz of her dreams. He never forgot the sacrifice of me staying in my government paying job so he could have more.
