If you didn't go to/graduate college but make 100k plus what do you do?

08:45 that sounds wonderful. I'm envious as I'd thoroughly enjoy doing something like that but I can't give up my day job just yet. Good luck to you!

Yes, a hooker, but on the high end.

Came to D.C. to go to college. Scholarship ran out when my grades dropped. Tried to make up the balance by doing tricks here and there. Pretty soon it was clear to me I could make a lot more than I ever could as a liberal arts major.

Dropped out, and started escorting full time, seven days a week, travelling all over the country. I cleared over $250K tax free on even the worst years. Did that for 10 years. I was disease free and never was robbed or in any way hurt. Also found love. Decided not to push my luck. Go into the management end (yes, I was a madame or pimp or whatever you want to call me). Did that for 5 years. Cleared 300K consistently, and once almost 500K. Never arrested, decided was pushing luck. So retired. Put money into sandwich shop. Made good, but not great money. Upgraded to fast food franchise. Now own several. 7 figure salary. Happily married with 2 kids.

Life is good.

Interesting. Does DH know? Or is that how you met? Just curious.

Met him on an airplane on one of my escorting tours. Meeting and then starting a relationship with him caused me to want a more normal (and safe) life. That's when I "retired," and went into "management." We married, but I still kept "managing." The money was just too good, and at the time my DH was a mid-level associate at a law firm and partnership chances did not look good. It was hard explaining the money, but I made up an eleaborate story about how my estranged dad, unbeknownst to my mother, left me with quite a chunk of money/stocks. I quit the escorting business entirely several years later because I loved my husband and also knew I would have kids one day and did not want to do anything to hurt them. The sandwich job was a struggle, but I learned a whole new business, which I parlayed into the fast food business. By the way DH quit his partnership and is helping me run the franchises. Total bliss.

Ok, I have NEVER called BS on anyone on this board but this is BS....Life is Good and Total Bliss? and DH never knew? oh come now!!

I can believe it...why, does the poster need to put in that she was raped/robbed/scarred for life or something because she used to be a hooker??

Oh please. That has nothing to do with it. The story is ridiculous and an obvious lie.

I've posted FAR MORE credible things on here that were 100%...no 1,000,000% true, and was called a liar, psycho etc.
Im surprised that more people havent called out this PP on her story. sorry it just doesnt add up

hooker drops out of school to sell her soul...makes a ton of money getting laid....finds dream man on airplane, they fall in love yet she hides her "real life and real identity" from him...tells him money comes from a wealthy relative yet said wonderful DH never digs deeper to find out where said money is coming from - not sure how you avoid the question year after year at tax time - but I digress. then one day said hooker has an epiphany and decides to turn her back on her old life and open a sandwhich shop and then a franchise and DH STILL DOESNT KNOW WHERE ALL THE MONEY CAME FROM?? And her life is bliss? come on people!!!

I think that PP is a frustrated screen play writer trying out her story on DCUM before sending the transcript to a few hollywood studios. I thought you guys were smarter than this...

My response might get lost in the midst of the hooker posts, but I'm bookmarking this thread and will be checking back. If you like, you can post an email address and I will email you directly so you can ask more specific questions.

There are different programs. The one I'm currently in is very in-depth, which I believe will benefit me the most.
It's a 3-4 year process. Technically it can be accomplished in 2 years, but that is rare. If I didn't have a full time job, I could probably finish in closer to two years. For now, I am on track to finish in 3. Cost will depend on if I finish in 3 or 4 years, but it will be around $50,000.

You make $100K or more doing this? Even in the recession?

Yep. I had to hire help during the recession - people were out of work, home, bored, and eager to have control over SOMETHING. Plus, many of them wanted to cull belongings in preparation for moves, to make space for boarders, boomerang kids, and flat out needed to find stuff they could sell for cash.

What does it cost to have someone organize my life? Seriously.

Why would somebody pay to get them self organized. Wow

I am the PP. I am very successful at what I do in a very specialized area and considered extemely competent by many. I am a nightmare at organization. It is the single point of tension in my marriage. We all have different skill sets, mine is not organization. I would hazard a guess that you are not perfect either.
