Yes, a hooker, but on the high end.
Came to D.C. to go to college. Scholarship ran out when my grades dropped. Tried to make up the balance by doing tricks here and there. Pretty soon it was clear to me I could make a lot more than I ever could as a liberal arts major.
Dropped out, and started escorting full time, seven days a week, travelling all over the country. I cleared over $250K tax free on even the worst years. Did that for 10 years. I was disease free and never was robbed or in any way hurt. Also found love. Decided not to push my luck. Go into the management end (yes, I was a madame or pimp or whatever you want to call me). Did that for 5 years. Cleared 300K consistently, and once almost 500K. Never arrested, decided was pushing luck. So retired. Put money into sandwich shop. Made good, but not great money. Upgraded to fast food franchise. Now own several. 7 figure salary. Happily married with 2 kids.
Life is good.
Interesting. Does DH know? Or is that how you met? Just curious.
Met him on an airplane on one of my escorting tours. Meeting and then starting a relationship with him caused me to want a more normal (and safe) life. That's when I "retired," and went into "management." We married, but I still kept "managing." The money was just too good, and at the time my DH was a mid-level associate at a law firm and partnership chances did not look good. It was hard explaining the money, but I made up an eleaborate story about how my estranged dad, unbeknownst to my mother, left me with quite a chunk of money/stocks. I quit the escorting business entirely several years later because I loved my husband and also knew I would have kids one day and did not want to do anything to hurt them. The sandwich job was a struggle, but I learned a whole new business, which I parlayed into the fast food business. By the way DH quit his partnership and is helping me run the franchises. Total bliss.
