It's basically phone sales B2B.

Closing in on 90. I'm a Business Analyst in IT. Factor in my bonus and Benefits package, I'm closer to 115.

Real estate agent in Arlington with no college and have made over half a million or more since the mid-1990s when I began. Yes, even in the downturn in the market.

My sister is an RN with an associate's degree. I don't think there are a lot of programs that let you do this still. She's in her late 30s. She works for a health care corp and is really good with the admin end of things.

Yep. I had to hire help during the recession - people were out of work, home, bored, and eager to have control over SOMETHING. Plus, many of them wanted to cull belongings in preparation for moves, to make space for boarders, boomerang kids, and flat out needed to find stuff they could sell for cash.

What does it cost to have someone organize my life? Seriously.

It can be phone sales (and it was for me in the beginning) but I now have an account that I have been working for the last 10 years and have all repeat customers and know my agencies inside and out. When I leave a company, my customers come with me. Inside meaning I very very rarely have to take appointments at the customer site. I do have an outside rep that I support and have worked with for years and I basically do his bitch work, but get paid off of his deals as well. He makes triple what I make, but has a ton more stress. I work from home and quite honestly probably only work 30 hours a week, except in July-September. I also have two junior ISRs under me to hit the phones all day and are expected to set appointments.

Granted I am very seasoned and at the higher end of the comp scale, but even average ISRs are making around 80K. I am also very technical, I've been in IT for the last 15 years (since I was 20), selling technology so all of this now comes very easy for me. I probably could just as easily get some more technical certifications and move into sales engineering, but those guys travel like crazy and make the same amount as I do. They have a more prestigious title, but I get to see my kids on and off the bus each day!

There's boatloads of people in IT with no college degrees who make well over $100k. I have a friend who didn't even graduate from high school who started his own business and made over $200 million after selling it. He's extremely bright though.
