Why is it ok to bash Catholics?

I am not saying that the Catholic faith is the end-all-be-all, but I find it sad that, to so many people today, their only Church is Apple and their only savior is Steve Jobs.

I went to an all girls parochial high school, with nuns, and survived. Nothing scares me.
