Are you C9BL? I think she sounds sanctimonious and a bit detached from reality.

I agree. I can't STAND her! Her posts make me want to barf.

Oooh, found it! DCUM classics! I wish she would come back and summarize some of the ones listed in this thread.

TheIndianLady wrote:Thanks for all the love, support and good wishes. A little update: things are still rocky with husband but I'm trying my best to provide a good home and environment for DD. His parents are still ultra involved with our life but I'm trying not to fight it anymore. Its just not worth it. My new strategy is to say yes and I'm sorry as much as possible. Sounds horrible but at least it keeps the peace day to day.

I love your new screen name! I am the well wisher from the other thread. I think you are stronger than you know. I will continue to root for you. I am glad so many others are as well.

C9BL is wishing you well, Indian Lady! I feel for you, truly, but if I was able to survive the Indian family way, hopefully someday you will, too. Take care.

OP again. I'd forgotten that one. She was awesome. We've definitely come up with some new material since she posted last so I do hope she comes back.

My least favorite is the snarky, smug idiot (I posted this on another thread) who keeps trying to jab those who don't agree with her. She sounds extremely frustrated with her own life. She doesn't travel or get out much, and doesn't have much to add, just the same old same old. I hope we keep ignoring her. As I mentioned on the other thread, I am somehow certain her DH (if she has one) feels the same way! She sounds terribly bored and boring.

Egads, some of us actually have been out in the world and consequently have an opinion that is different than yours! Certainly you don't actually believe we should all see the world as you, through your very tiny lens? Yikes.
Let's hope that DCUM does not become known that way.

My favorite is Penguin Six - are you back yet?

Least favorite: Panty sniffer. Obsessed with Barak Obama's body odor or "BO" (get it???). Never uses punctuation. Rabidly conservative. Intentionally baits other posters with troll-like comments. See political forum for original posts.

me too! It's nice to have a different perspective on here.

I haven't read anything from her in a while? Unless I'm just not reading the same threads anymore.

I haven't either but then again, she's got 9 kids now, so she probably doesn't have the time. LOL.

I am feeling the love tonight!

Even with the 9, I have not been able to forswear DCUM completely, though I have a funny story to tell:

My husband has been very impressed with my commitment to exercise after the little one was born. I get up early, I stay up late--so dedicated, even though I hate the whole getting-back-in-shape process. Then he caught me with the iPad propped up on the elliptical, and it all made sense: DCUM time=exercise time! And the occasional nursing session, like now. Whatever works, right?!

Hard to post while doing "hill program #3" or while breastfeeding, though, so unless something really speaks to me, I don't say much...though I did give some relationship advice recently that was surprisingly well-received

It is good for me to hear the different perspectives here, too--even the ones that break my heart. "Blessings are not just for the ones who kneel...luckily."

Hope everyone is enjoying a peaceful night...

I'd take relationship advice from you any day. Seriously. You might have given me some for all I know - I've needed a bunch recently. I am not religious at all, but I always, always, always appreciate your words. You are a bit of calm in the shit storm that is sometimes DCUM!

Which of the gazillion snarky, smug idiots on DCUM are you referring to? How can you tell it's always this one snarky, smug idiot who is going after you?

Ha, I thought the same thing! My favorite poster is...you. All of you. Oh, I love to hate you.

Crazy Metro Lady used to be good for some inadvertent laughs, and I know I'm not the only one who amused myself poking fun at her. It's almost too bad she's started driving her SUV into work with DD strapped in the back seat while she's texting from the driver's seat.

The poster who created the "no asparagus, no peace" and "this is spearta!" graphics on the asparagus thread:
(you should read it from the start, but the graphics are on pages 5 and 7)
