Are you C9BL? I think she sounds sanctimonious and a bit detached from reality.

No, I'm the bitchy/sarcastic mom of three, which is probably why I like C9BL.

Thanks for all the love, support and good wishes. A little update: things are still rocky with husband but I'm trying my best to provide a good home and environment for DD. His parents are still ultra involved with our life but I'm trying not to fight it anymore. Its just not worth it. My new strategy is to say yes and I'm sorry as much as possible. Sounds horrible but at least it keeps the peace day to day.

I LOVED that thread, I've was crying from laughter. Favorite comment:

Oh god. Husband here. I don't know why I opened this thread, but I guess I got what I deserved. The title did warn me. Jesus.

I'm happy when I'm with my daughter. Otherwise, I feel like I'm living moment to moment. I am very tired though. DD is a horrible sleeper and husband is no help at night.

me too! It's nice to have a different perspective on here.

I haven't read anything from her in a while? Unless I'm just not reading the same threads anymore.

I haven't either but then again, she's got 9 kids now, so she probably doesn't have the time. LOL.

I am feeling the love tonight!

Even with the 9, I have not been able to forswear DCUM completely, though I have a funny story to tell:

My husband has been very impressed with my commitment to exercise after the little one was born. I get up early, I stay up late--so dedicated, even though I hate the whole getting-back-in-shape process. Then he caught me with the iPad propped up on the elliptical, and it all made sense: DCUM time=exercise time! And the occasional nursing session, like now. Whatever works, right?!

Hard to post while doing "hill program #3" or while breastfeeding, though, so unless something really speaks to me, I don't say much...though I did give some relationship advice recently that was surprisingly well-received

It is good for me to hear the different perspectives here, too--even the ones that break my heart. "Blessings are not just for the ones who kneel...luckily."

Hope everyone is enjoying a peaceful night...

OMG, thank you so much for the pooping links. I laughed so hard I think I might throw up now, but totally worth it.

My favorite poster was the person who summarized the best oft he best threads with a short, pithy abstract. She was GOOD. Wish she would come back because those poop threads need to be on the list!

Not C9BL, but y'all, someone who has been using her life as a spiritual practice for long enough to have nine kids might have a different perspective. It might be more mature, disciplined, patient, compassionate, and engaged with a deeper reality than yours. If that annoys you so much, maybe figure out why your reality is so small that someone has to be bitchy to be in touch with it.

Yes, please! I loved that thread, but I can't find it. Maybe if someone links to it, she'll return and revive it!

I also remember that thread. Must have been.. three months ago or so? Can't think of the subject, though.
