There is one thing you don't mess with and that's Christmas Cards. They screwed up big time and then would not own up to any of it. They can delete the Facebook posts like they never happened but they can't delete this site and others were people are venting their issues. This scar will take a lot of time to heal, if it even does. Sure they can do refunds but with no communication it doesn't help the issue of NO xmas cards. Everyone who believed that they were still going to ship in a reasonable time period and I'm one of then would have been able to make other arrangements to get the cards done.
This company is dead to me. Just like their phones! |
My name is Amanda and I placed order 827132 on December 12 and paid for 2 day expedited delivery and just received an email saying my order is being processed for delivery. I have written emails and tried to call with no response. I am extremely upset since this was supposed to be our first ever photo Christmas card featuring our new children. We will be leaving town early Saturday morning for the holiday season so I can't imagine a way we will receive the cArds before then Orr any way we can get them to our friends and family to introduce our beautiful children. I honestly cannot believe this as I'm sitting in tears knowing there is not enough time to do something else now. Please have someone at least contact me to explain how this could happen or if there is anything that can be done |
Hi fellow unhappy Photo Affections customers!
I too placed an order and was latter informed I wouldn't receive my cards until after the holidays. I called, lefts comments, emailed, FB messaged, and finally tweeted at Photo Affections. I never got an actual response but yesterday when I hopelessly checked the order status, there was a new paragraph in gray font under the unchanged expected arrival date. It said to call the same customer support line but to press 7 to speak to an agent. This seemed unreal. Actually talk to someone from Photo Affections? No. But I called, talked to an agent who upgraded my order to next day, marked my order as urgent, and I also had the shipping address changed to where we're spending the holidays. I haven't received the order yet, but I hoping. The reason I'm passing this info on is that when I called Photo Affections that last time, 7 was never given as an option. So I wanted to pass along this info in case it was just a squeaky wheel gets the oil kind of situation. And if your going out of town try and change the shipping address to your destination. Maybe we can all dig ourselves out of the mess that is Photo Affections. Call 877-248-8906 and press 7 (its not a real option, just try it). Best of luck photo card enthusiasts! |
yet another customer who ordered on 12/5 and my cards are STILL PRINTING.....I've e-mailed the company twice and am less than thrilled with their responses. Seems they're overwhelmed...seriously? I was offered a code for future use and explained I'd never use them again. I just want my cards! I'm so frustrated as I just checked on the status of my order again and the "ship" date has been pushed back another 3 days. |
I've sent photo affections 5-6 emails since they won't answer the phone. My cards were late and wrong when I got them with no time to correct before Christmas! I will not use them again. They overcommit offering too many deals and the customers suffer. Not answering calls is a joke! Not answering the only means of communication, email, is even worse! Very disappointed. |
I did as suggested and called 877-248-8906 and pressed 7. It worked for me. I got all of my questions answered and concerns addressed. |
I am afraid I don't believe you...especially if you are going to tell me you were pleasantly surprised. How could all of your concerns been addressed? I just got off the phone with a guy there. Even though they allegedly upgraded me to Next Day Overnight, I walked into FedEx here to se if I could get them to hold it at the facility if it arrived tomorrow and FedEx told me that they shipped it FedEx Ground which is not FedEx Overnight at all. Questions answered? Concerns addressed? There are no answers. It's Friday....14 days after I ordered my cards. Monday, the first day they can possibly be delivered now is the day before Xmas Eve. It is a crying shame. And I am embarrassed about not having gotten my cards out. If I am lucky now, people may get them next Friday or Saturday. My concerns aren't address...no offense, maam. |
I responded earlier as I had attempted phone calls, multiple emails and Facebook messages. I finally reported them to the better business bureau for false advertising (which I informed them I would do.). I first received an email which apologized and offered me 25% off a future order. I told them this did not rectify the current situation. I did finally receive my cards over a week after I should have and then received a Facebook message that they have refunded my purchase. I will contact the BBB and let them know that the situation has now been taken care of but just want you to know that I actually had to take that extreme of measures to get Christmas cards. Pretty sad! |
My experience is very similar to the others posted here. I bought a Living Social deal and ordered my cards on 12/7/13 and was told that they would be processed in 2-3 days. I guess in comparison to others I was lucky because I actually received my cards on 12/18/13 but I was very disappointed that they took so long. As a contrast to this I ordered 3 photo books from Shutterfly on 12/17/13. When I ordered them I was told I would receive them by 12/23/13. Amazingly enough I had them 3 days later on 12/20/13. Very poor customer service to promise something and not fulfill your promise as is Photo Affections practice. I would totally recommend Shutterfly and will be using them in the future. |
Terrible experience with Photo Affections...never will use them again. |
They tax your shipping, even though I live in Florida. They do it by adding the shipping price to the total price and THEN taxing that.... |
I bought an Amazon local coupon for 40 'photo cards'. Turns out these are not cards, just photos on card. Not only was this a rip-off but the website was really user-unfriendly. It was incredibly difficult to get my photo to fit in their dimensions. Don't bother- they suck |
WARNING: SIMPLY TO IMPRESS is the same company as PHOTO AFFECTIONS! (they have a deal going on Living Social right now, I was shocked at the potential rerun!)
Make no mistake, they are the same exact call center too. I know because they goofed on their email to me and when I called them out on it they said they have several companies. Remember when Photo Affections said their phone was down? LIES since I called Simply to Impress and they answered the phone and was able to look up my account and order placed with Photo Affections. Didn't make any difference though, still didn't get my cards till too late. |
I just had a bad experience with them. Apparently, they offer no way to delete your online account, or edit your address (unless you place an order). I called tech support, and the person even asked their manager -- and NOPE, no way to remove my online account. The person on the phone stated "I've never been asked this before" ... umm ... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I think this is very weird, and have never encountered such a bogus 'limitation' in an online application. |
I always hD good luck w photo affections and their customer service has been very good. This year I did have a surprise when I received a card back requesting .21 cents more for postage. I mailed out 50 cards and was worried that 50 cards would be returned. There was no reminder that extra postage would be required for SQUARE CARDS. Now I know but how embarrassing to have 50 people be charged extra postage because the sender shortchanged the Postal requirements. BP |
