Why do I have hairs growing under my chin (on my neck!!)

Now, when you say no, you can say "No, no, not by the hair of my chinny chin chin."

If it's a PCOS issue, studies show supplementing with vitamin D could help. It helped me - didn't eliminate the issue completely, but got much, much better.

I recently plucked a white hair growing on the outside of my nostril - hurt like a biotch too. Makes me wonder how long that sucker had been there before I noticed it . I have just started to go through menopause. Never had this sort of thing before.

It's definitely a weird hormonal thing.

I'm 27 with pale skin and dark hair. I've been getting these (and plucking) since I was a teen. My current birth control seems to make it slightly worse, but it is so good for so many other reasons (alleviates painful periods and PMS) that I just bought a good pair of tweezers and deal.

^^i've also been getting long boob hairs around my nipples since I was ~17. My mom gets them too and when I went to her freaked out she calmly told me to use tweezers.

Anonymous wrote:DO NOT PLUCK THEM!!!! Get electrolysis. Plucking them is going to make it worse. I am NOT an electrolysis practitioner, but someone who has had the exact same post-partum hair growth issue and plucked and did laser and now have done electrolysis and they are gone. If you pluck or wax, on the chin, you are going to stimulate growth--it is a hormonal thing. I can tell you I started with one or two, and then, well, ugh.

Get electrolysis. It is a time committment, but having done laser, which IS NOT permanent, electro is the way to go. But please don't pluck. Huge mistake.

Proof please. Pretty sure this is an old wives tale.

Lol...I always laugh when I hear girls talk about how plucking hairs makes them come back thicker. The tooth fairy is real too, but they already know that I bet.

DO NOT use lemon juice on your face!! It messes with your skin's pH balance and if you're very unlucky you can suffer from photodermatitis burning.

Had a college roommate who was an athlete with eating disorders and she had a lot of this going on. She said it came on very suddenly. I don't think there were any substances involved--just some hormonal reaction to bouts of starvation/extreme exercise.

Ladies, be real. Body hair on women is a natural thing and the only reason why we notice it is because we scrutinize ourselves like crazy. A few hairs here and there are normal and isn't indicative of PCOS.

Yeah, but have you ever found a 1 inch long dark hair on your cheek that wasn't there yesterday? I have.
