Menopause. How do you not know this ?

Srsly?

It isn't menopause; it's hormonal and can happen at any age. How do you not know this?

I am NOT an electrolysis practitioner, but someone who has had the exact same post-partum hair growth issue and plucked and did laser and now have done electrolysis and they are gone. If you pluck or wax, on the chin, you are going to stimulate growth--it is a hormonal thing. I can tell you I started with one or two, and then, well, ugh.

Get electrolysis. It is a time committment, but having done laser, which IS NOT permanent, electro is the way to go. But please don't pluck. Huge mistake.

Hey from the future. I know this was posted 3 years ago (I was the depressed 32 y/o from page 1) and I wanted to report back on my findings. I used to get 2 or 3 thick wiry hairs on either side of my chin. I've been religiously ripping them out as soon as they're long enough to grip with my tweezers. Three years later, I don't get them on the left side and they are so fine in the right side it's almost impossible to get a good grip.

TlR Don't give up my hairy sisters. There is hope.

LOL.

I keep a tweezer in my car. Usually the vanity mirror in the car in the day time shows up every single unwanted hair and sitting in the driveway is the best place to tweeze them out.

+1. A sunlit car is the best place to tweeze in general!

I started developing hirsutism in my teens. On my face, my chest, my stomach - I do have problems, and no blood test has revealed any answers.

It's a very common symptom of PCOS.

Ladies,
I am a 31 year old ,white female (half german/half russian) and I have had black course hairs show up since I was maybe 20.I ate super healthy my whole life and always took great vitamins...doing fitness comps and marathons my whiole life.I am now 31 and the problem had grown embarrassingly worse lol Neck,chin.....and even around my nipples! I know my mother has had this issue since she was really young as well....and same with my sister.I believe its hereditary....as well, prone or more dominant in some ethnicity. I highly doubt that I was getting them at 19/20 YO because of menopause hahaha I didnt have any children at that point and was super active ...and still healthy and active.

Pale skin and dark hair, and in my case the cause was puberty, not menopause.

I've did lots of electrolysis in my teens and 20's, with good results. Nothing like scarring PP described. As I got older the occasional wild ones come back, and I usually shave. Did laser, but it's not nearly as good as electrolysis.

Anyone know where to find a good electrolysis person?
