+1 calling 911 when someone's being assaulted doesn't take a lot of brain power. Even a child can be taught to call 911 when they see someone being assaulted. |
How did he know where she lived if they only met online (sorry, haven't read the whole thread). |
Seriously. How many russians can the trump family be entangled with? |
| I have heard rumors that he has special needs. I think this is the first time I have heard him speak, glad he can formulate a sentence, I was worried about him. I will say that I was impressed that during the inauguration he made an effort to shake Biden's hand. |
No, have you read the transcript? This was a terrible call protocol, and helps explain why response times are often so poor in the UK. They don't need to know how long he has known the girl, or how he knows her or anything. If someone is in danger, they should try to ascertain the address. Baron kept trying to correctly redirect the dispatcher back to that important fact. |
+1. Historians will be only ones to sort this all out |
Money doesn’t grow on trees and dispatchers need to make sure that Barron isn’t an American kid punking them and sending officers on a made up call. It’s not like they have some magic ability to sense that he’s the President’s kid trying to save his online girlfriend |

Hilarious that people actually are this gullible. They had a year to spin doctor this from a scandal to a situation where you think Barron looks innocent???
Can’t wait to find out what actually went on. |
I also agree he has something going on, but I would attribute the way he dresses and wears his hair to the demands of his authoritarian father and not to neurodivergence. Trump hit Don Junior when he showed up to take him to a Yankee game and Junior was wearing a Yankee jersey instead of a suit. |
Didn’t Trump even say Barron was responsible for getting Tate back in the US and away from his criminal case overseas. Not a good look. And weird for someone his age to be mixed up in that. Where was Melania. |
How does he sound? Can’t pull up the audio. |
It's actually not all that weird. I'm over 50 and I have online friends I have never met in person. My young adult children have online friends they've never met in person, mostly from gaming. |
It’s not super clear whether he’s ever met her in person. They “met” online but could have met in person at a later date. I agree many teens have online friends but I would be worried if my kid was describing an older woman in another country as “someone he was very close to.” |

I know you guys think this is weird but there's no conspiracy.
Lonely people start text-only relationships like this all the time. I have a friend who does it and is always texting some married dude who lives 300 miles away. I would imagine his weird childhood has made Barron an incredibly lonely young man. |
How old is your friend? I think that makes a difference. A 19 year old in college should have other options to make real life friends. Even when I was in college the Internet existed and there were social chat areas that were for university kids only. That would make me more comfortable as a parent than randomly reaching out to people. |
