But what the F was he doing in a relationship/friendship with someone overseas who facetimes him (the US President's son) at the same time she is getting assaulted by a Russian.

How many relationships overseas like this does he have?

Calm down. We are very liberal family in Arlington and my kids attended several international schools around the world. They do have friends in London, Dubai and Singapore and they talk to each other at different times. Have you kids ever travel internationally and meet anyone or you just go to cruises? [/quote]

It's actually not all that weird.
I'm over 50 and I have online friends I have never met in person.
My young adult children have online friends they've never met in person, mostly from gaming.

It’s not super clear whether he’s ever met her in person.  They “met” online but could have met in person at a later date.  I agree many teens have online friends but I would be worried if my kid was describing an older woman in another country as “someone he was very close to.”[/quote]
