Response to Recent FCPS Statement

Per FCPS policy . . . Students and staff are not allowed to wear clothing that refers to sensitive topics that others may find offensive. Somehow no one noticed this kids shirt which supports a takeover of Israel. Somehow teachers are allowed to wear FCPS Pride shirts amid an era of trans shootings aimed at Christians. Only in FCPS are people afraid of enforcing laws and rules.

For the poster that said they have never seen examples of Islamophobia in the school just antisemitism, this is an example of it right here.

So you think the students who posted these videos are victims? That's an .... interesting take on this.

NP. They are hardly the victims. Not at all!

If you look at the carefully-compiled google doc on the prior page, it becomes clear that the MSA are the repeat-aggressors / offenders here, and they go out of their way to intimidate and provoke those of other faiths.

Thanks!

This is eye-opening to say the least!

Shocking that this group only seems to "expose" Muslim and Socialist influence in schools, and not Christian...

When they stage kidnappings and demand private spaces, please let us know.

They're kidnapping Jewish kids to go to make meetings?

That's not the takeaway I have from that video.

I agree this Langley club needs to be disbanded. The principal’s description of it sounds atrocious and clearly in violation of the SRR every student signed.

This is not a close case. Hate doesn’t belong in our schools.

Agree, but this happened at TJ too. And the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) completely defended these videos and condemned any criticism of them as being "racist". How utterly disgusting and unsurprising.

Several students from the Thomas Jefferson School were allegedly suspended as a result, prompting outrage from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization.

CAIR claimed that the video was no different from that of other clubs being posted online, aside from the race and religion of those punished, accusing the school of violating the students’ First Amendment rights.

“The video mirrors a popular trend of students promoting their events on campuses across the country,” the group said in a letter to the school. “It is apparent that any threat TJSHHT perceives from the video comes from racist tropes and stereotypes about Muslims and Arabs.”

Here are screenshots from the video. We'll wait for your apology.

This is just disgusting. Do these students think they're cute and funny? Do they have no sense whatsoever of what they're doing?

What? Have you even watched the videos that were posted here?

Were the kids suspended or just the organizations?

I hope everyone involved, to include the organizations, were suspended.

However they will learn a lesson that not everything you post can be viewed as intended. It's good for them to learn now before they do something in college or when employed that can truly impact them.

I wonder why the same club at 2 different schools chose the same theme? I am surprised CAIR isn't all over this yet since they are involved with MSAs. I'm sure they will have lawyers defending the rights of students to make light of hostage taking and I suspect they will somehow twist this into "islamophobia" even though the Muslim families I know at Langley don't even allow their children to be part of the MSA since because of the extreme speakers at multi-school gatherings. How are those speakers vetted?

You are absolutely right. Repulsive apologist statement from CAIR:

This same video has been made for numerous different clubs, so why is this one an issue? There was no reference of Israel or October 7th in the video, yet somehow everyone here found it offensive. Its just silly tiktok trend, nothing more. I'm willing to bet if the roles were reversed no one would care.

WTAF. Please show us "similar" videos of students staging a mock kidnapping, using threatening language and employing keffiyehs as they stuff other students in trunks and boxes. You know, to promote their club/spirit day/football game. You utter moron.
