I wonder why the same club at 2 different schools chose the same theme? I am surprised CAIR isn't all over this yet since they are involved with MSAs. I'm sure they will have lawyers defending the rights of students to make light of hostage taking and I suspect they will somehow twist this into "islamophobia" even though the Muslim families I know at Langley don't even allow their children to be part of the MSA since because of the extreme speakers at multi-school gatherings. How are those speakers vetted?

These videos are incredibly poor taste. Suspend everyone involved.

In 2023 Langley was wrong to suspend for any reason the student who reported the antisemitic and anti-USA school sponsored club activities. Recent videos done by MSA students with hooding to kidnap, prone/immobile students acting as those kidnapped ...inappropriate for a school sponsored club meeting: filmed in a public school and as a draw/invite to a specific teacher's classroom for a meeting or event at the school.

These recent videos were not brief clips showing an excerpt advertising a school play or concert or performance. Similar incident where none should have found it funny or expect others to consider their intent lost in translation:

Given that this is at least the third time the Langley MSA has done something like this, they should definitely be disbanded at Langley.

I cant believe people are this incompetent. Across all high school in the US, people do silly trends like this to promote their club/spirit day/football game. This same video has been made for numerous different clubs, so why is this one an issue? There was no reference of Israel or October 7th in the video, yet somehow everyone here found it offensive. Its just silly tiktok trend, nothing more. I'm willing to bet if the roles were reversed no one would care.

Gaslighting. These are bright kids. They are using a club that meets at the school to post this and at least one video seems to be filmed at the school. Trends are posted on personal Tiktok accounts, and I think most teenagers understand that it is not silly and fun to post videos with kidnapping. Please share what other clubs made this same video?
