Don’t they usually just do it the day they say they will? Which this year they have already said is Monday, 12/15?

It’s usually a couple days before, that’s just the date they promise to have it released by. Fridays are very popular for their release date.

No - they always say by the 15th and usually do it sooner, often the Friday before. I agree - my money is on the 12th.

Maybe because a college is more than just a degree factory. Maybe wants a smaller school, maybe wants access to a stronger alumni network, maybe wants to go to school with a higher caliber students, maybe wants a school with a better sports program, maybe wants a school closer to home? I can truly think of lots of reasons.

I know someone who wanted UVA engineering but didn't get in so went to Tech.

Eh - last year they still had the supplimental optional essay to share in under 100 words your connection to UVA. Could have been that you went to a sports camp there, toured there and had a special experience OR grew up going to games with your alumni parents.

That was the dying gasp of the legacy hook.

UVA essentially still wanted that sweet alumni donation money, but they also had to abide by the university’s public statements claiming to abandon legacy admits.

It is going to be much harder to get into UVA by any means, this year.

Do you mean because the eliminated legacy and DEI? That will help some and hurt others.

But without supplementals they could have a lot more applicants - is that what you mean?

To the contrary, UVA is more eager than ever to admit URMs, if for no other reason they as payback for all the trump-threats which lead up to them signing the agreement with trump.

You are confused. UVA did not sign the compact. It signed an agreement with DOJ that DOJ would temporarily stop its investigation into allged discrimination in hiring and in admissions while UVA sorted out its practices. You don't want UVA to continue to discriminate against JEws, Asian students and white students do you? Because that's what you are saying.

Wow, thats interesting. College coach said those stats are needed for VT Business school. I thought UVA would be higher.

Scores in this range would have had much better chance ED. I’m guessing UVA is not first choice, and UVA will guess that too.
