Like other posters, haven’t heard anything about Parent Square.

Still no class schedule tab for me in ParenvtVue.

Y'all are so impatient. The school told us Wednesday afternoon. A leak allowed us to see them in some obscure part of an app. The schedules are NOT final. If they give us more than 3 days notice it 1. changes NOTHING and 2. gives parents time to send emails asking for their babies to be moved.

Why do schools have such a hard time saying no? You doneealize youre not getting a parent review?

More like not final yet. They could still be rearranging classes until later this week.

Later this week? It's Wednesday in 2 hours and school begins on Monday for many students. So glad they didn't procrastinate.

They didn't procrastinate. Kids are allowed to enroll at anytime so if kids just moved to the school, counselors may need to fiddle with other kids' schedules to get the new kids what they need.

Good lord, I'm fully aware. We've been new students, too.

To your attempt at a point, since kids can enroll any day of the year, 365 days per year, does that mean there should NEVER be a schedule? Just leave it wide open and kids can take whichever classes they want each day?

Of course not! At some point they need to make a deadline and make a SCHEDULE and at any point after that, students can keep being added just as they do ALLLLLLL SCHHHOOOOL YEAR.

If you Elementary school principal is like ours, which is obsessed with controlling information - she regularly removes the teach info that the county publishes to make sure no one knows anything before the appointed 1 HOUR window to drag your butt to the school to crowd around names on lists.

In reality, I think they want as little time for parental pushback as possible. Imagine your work being in avoidance of explaining your why...gross.

I can see my kids courses and teachers on Parent square now, but not parentvue. No schedule, and not sure if this is finalized yet.

I dunno, it always gets my kids excited to go back to school.

That's great, I'm not talking to you, I'm talking to the parents who are complaining about ParentSquare (it was a leak people), MCPS and their class assignments.

Well I’m talking to you who can’t see any positive reasons for releasing schedules “early.”

Getting kids excited about school starting is not enough of a reason to allow helicopter parents to bombard administration with complaints. On the other hand, my child is crying daily about being in class with this one kid, it would have been nice to give her less time to cry about it. But I guess your kids one minute clap is worth it?

Perhaps you should get off DCUM and attend to your child who is crying daily about school? Also maybe you are not in the best position to offer advice.
