Like other posters, haven’t heard anything about Parent Square.

Still no class schedule tab for me in ParenvtVue.

Y'all are so impatient. The school told us Wednesday afternoon. A leak allowed us to see them in some obscure part of an app. The schedules are NOT final. If they give us more than 3 days notice it 1. changes NOTHING and 2. gives parents time to send emails asking for their babies to be moved.

I dunno, it always gets my kids excited to go back to school.

That's great, I'm not talking to you, I'm talking to the parents who are complaining about ParentSquare (it was a leak people), MCPS and their class assignments.

Well I’m talking to you who can’t see any positive reasons for releasing schedules “early.”

Getting kids excited about school starting is not enough of a reason to allow helicopter parents to bombard administration with complaints. On the other hand, my child is crying daily about being in class with this one kid, it would have been nice to give her less time to cry about it. But I guess your kids one minute clap is worth it?

Perhaps you should get off DCUM and attend to your child who is crying daily about school? Also maybe you are not in the best position to offer advice.

Congrats on being the biggest idiot on this thread.

Thank you for nominating me for such an achievement, but sadly no, it’s not true. Shouldn’t you get back to your crying kid?

To add to the mix, my ES kids’ teachers are showing on both Parent Square and ParentVue but the teachers showing on each platform are different. Guess everything is still in flux.

I don’t understand how they always mess up my kid’s schedule and why it’s so hard to get it fixed. (In this instance we found out last week, kid is in 11th grade, and it’s a core required class)

They messed up my rising senior’s entire schedule. He’s supposed to be doing dual enrollment in the afternoon but the schedule shows 7 classes instead of 4. And the ones he needs are scheduled to conflict with DE so they will have to completely start over with assigning him to courses. He is apparently not the only one at his school either.

We started working with the guidance counselor weeks ago to avoid this. Not a surprise sadly.

On the BCC listserve, a parent posted about their kid's schedule problem with dual enrollment. I hope this gets resolved rapidly. It's crappy to do that to a rising senior!!!

And issues like the above are why no one should consider a HS schedule to be set in stone. They will be fixing problems for the next week or so, and as they do so, other students' schedules may also be changed.

Is this at Wootton with 5 new counselors?

BCC sent a note saying that "we are not accommodating requests for teacher or period changes. Our master schedule is now designed to ensure every classroom is balanced and all students have a complete and consistent schedule."

They also noted that the deadline to change electives was last week. Of course my DS could not see his schedule until today.

He's not in the market to change anything right now, but this refusal to make changes and a deadline that predated the schedule release seems off to me.

The rule only works if schedules are correct in relation to course requests. The course requests are still up, you would be justified in insisting on a change past the date.

NP. I just logged into parentvue and my kid has ELD on their schedule. Are these some default schedules or are they supposed to show each kid’s actual schedule?

Still, sending a message saying the deadline was last week is obnoxious. I hope people are emailing the new interim principal about this. Bcc used to be a much better school than this

It's supposed to be their actual schedule.
