More like not final yet. They could still be rearranging classes until later this week.

Later this week? It's Wednesday in 2 hours and school begins on Monday for many students. So glad they didn't procrastinate.

They didn't procrastinate. Kids are allowed to enroll at anytime so if kids just moved to the school, counselors may need to fiddle with other kids' schedules to get the new kids what they need.

This.

I was in the office at my kid’s HS for no more than ten minutes last Friday morning, during that time two separate families came to enroll kids.

Yeah, I don't understand why we need so many different platforms. I don't believe either of the schools my kids attend even mentioned Parent Square.

My youngest's first grade teacher sent an introductory email yesterday, but crickets from my 6th grader's school. They've so far offered the bare minimum in communication.

In my prior school district there was one platform plus a commercial platform to add school lunch money allocations. That was it. MCPS is a mess.

Like other posters, haven’t heard anything about Parent Square.

Still no class schedule tab for me in ParenvtVue.

Y'all are so impatient. The school told us Wednesday afternoon. A leak allowed us to see them in some obscure part of an app. The schedules are NOT final. If they give us more than 3 days notice it 1. changes NOTHING and 2. gives parents time to send emails asking for their babies to be moved.

I dunno, it always gets my kids excited to go back to school.

That's great, I'm not talking to you, I'm talking to the parents who are complaining about ParentSquare (it was a leak people), MCPS and their class assignments.

Anonymous wrote:Are we all supposed to be using Parent Square? I’m already navigating ParentVue, Reminder emails and texts plus regular school emails. Not to mention School Bucks and then the separate app just to view lunch menus. Way too confusing!

Parent Square communication platform. Remind also same.
ParentVue is where you see your kid(s)' schedules and your kid(s)' specific data, schedules, emerency contact info etc..

We know that you are excited about our upcoming teacher annoucement postcards. We did want to let you know that we are working through updated enrollments and you will get your postcards on Friday.

Our elementary school always posted teachers on Friday. They want to avoid the insane parents trying to move their kids to different teachers for days on end.

Well I’m talking to you who can’t see any positive reasons for releasing schedules “early.”

Instead of sending out dozens of emails asking parents to download this app, MCPS said nothing about it through any channel and got us all to download it! Genius. /s

Getting kids excited about school starting is not enough of a reason to allow helicopter parents to bombard administration with complaints. On the other hand, my child is crying daily about being in class with this one kid, it would have been nice to give her less time to cry about it. But I guess your kids one minute clap is worth it?

My now college aged kid could see his middle school schedule years ago. Its not a one time thing.

Correct yourself. WE were not told "Wednesday afternoon." WE were told no later than Wednesday, 8/20.
