That’s ridiculous if schools are sending out info on an app they’ve never circulated information about. Chris Cram and his communications cronies should be replaced.

🙄 from mcps earlier this week "By December, we will transition communications to ParentSquare (which owns Remind). You are already receiving communications from MCPS through ParentSquare.

None of that tells parents to download the Parent Square app.

You don't need the app.

No but you do need to set up yet another account and password. It's too much.

I just checked on Canvas (ie “my MCPS classroom) and my 4th grader’s teacher is listed.

Ooh, how?

I don’t really know. Someone’s brother helped them change words in the website code to reveal their schedules. I’m not even sure which site they hacked.

That's not a thing. The school just didn't lock it down.

Its possible. My kids told me others did it through ChatGPT. We didn't wory about it as by process of elimination with HS you can figure out who your teachers are or narrow it down.

Kids have found out through performance matters.

I was able to see my daughter's HS teaching assignments on ParentSquare today too

Where did you locate that in ParentSquare? I only see a flyer, no teacher lists. TYIA

HS can already see their classes in Course Request. They just don't see their schedules yet.

Where do you locate Course Request? ParentVue? ParentSquare? Canvas? It's nuts. TYIA

More like not final yet. They could still be rearranging classes until later this week.

Later this week? It's Wednesday in 2 hours and school begins on Monday for many students. So glad they didn't procrastinate.

It's not a big deal. They are always rebalancing classes and making changes at this time of year. Occasionally there will even be schedule changes into the first week of school.

Yeah, I don't understand why we need so many different platforms. I don't believe either of the schools my kids attend even mentioned Parent Square.

My youngest's first grade teacher sent an introductory email yesterday, but crickets from my 6th grader's school. They've so far offered the bare minimum in communication.

Anyone seeing their Middle Schooler’s or High Schooler’s schedules yet? I get the message “No Class Schedules ID: D89F6” when I click on the class schedule tab in Parent Vue.

Like other posters, haven’t heard anything about Parent Square.

They didn't procrastinate. Kids are allowed to enroll at anytime so if kids just moved to the school, counselors may need to fiddle with other kids' schedules to get the new kids what they need.

Plus you'll be doing it eventually, anyway.
