Best DC nabes for young family with excellent public elementary school

OP that house on Wakefield Rd in Bethesda is a great option- wonderful neighborhood that is part of larger ‘Westbrook’ community. The colors are a bit wild but can be toned down where they are too much (that master would be better with a white ceiling, imo).
This is half a block to Westbrook Elementary playground so lots of space for kids to play even when the house has only patio space in the back. The front yard and front porch are quite roomy, though, and you have a comfortable basement for play during cold months.

OP you may want to look at taxes across VA MD and DC and how it impacts your specific situation. Taxes are relatively the same across all 3 until you hit $300K+ HHI where you’ll start to see savings in DC and VA vs MD. Savings compound significantly the higher your HHI is largely due to the MD county tax that’s in addition to the MD state tax. DC also gets rough the closer to $1M you are.

Nabes? WTF does this even mean? Did you go through DC public school? Or one in Arkansas?
