Truth truth truth. And just as someone who farted points the finger screaming and accusing others to avoid examination, so too is screamed “It ain’t discrimination or revenge!” Discrimination against White males is exactly what DEI is all about. |
JD Vance and Donald trump belay that statement. |
Wow, so that whole slavery and lynching thing from our country's founding to the 1960's was just conjured up? |
DEI has no firm meaning. |
No one said there was injustice in the past. DEI is a form of revenge and discrimination against White males. This is wrong and unjust. The majority of White males in this country are not descendants of slave owners. In fact, a majority of White males are descended from White men who fought in the Union army to end slavery. |
Well forcing a white male to resign will surely fix that! |
Discrimination against White males is exactly what DEI is all about. And yet they are still represented in leadership at higher rates, so how could that possibly be true??? 🤔 |
It literally has nothing to do with that. But I know that MAGA likes to present it that way. Are you a female by any chance? If you are, regardless of your race, you are the beneficiary of affirmative action. |
Fear of rejection based on merit. |
+1 |
Not white but UVA FAFO. They kept their DEI and just changed a few names and titles. It was stupid. This issue is not going away when trump leaves office. Beating up institutions like harvard that have developed a reputation for being overly liberal and ideologically devoted to DEI has almost no negative political consequences. If the academy isn't careful, this will become part of the republican platform and every republican administration will defund colleges. What Ryan did was in the best interests of UVA, it's students and faculty. He gave them their pound of flesh closest to the heart and stopped playing games with DEI stuff. |
DP. Just as DEI has no agreed upon definition, merit increasingly doesn’t either. |
They’re all doing this. |
Grades, rigor of classes taken, standardized test scores, extra curricular activities, work history |
But the playing field is so completely unlevel that you can’t possible make fair comparisons across wide swaths of the population. That’s sort of how this all started. |
