How is that different from democrats who thinks blacks are too stupid to do well on stanrdized tests and the only reason asians do better than them is because they cheat. |
Albert Einstein famously failed the entrance exam to the Swiss Federal Polytechnic in Zurich, Switzerland. And once he made it to university he was the second worse student who graduated. Test scores are just one part of the formula. Thousands of years of history have taught the world that "smart" isn't enough on its own. Resilience is another part which is why universities make accommodations for people who have the personality to work through setbacks. |
Test scores reflect resilience. A higher score shows academic grit and discipline, as well as resourcefulness. The kids I know scoring low are no Albert Einstein. They just lack the discipline and academic preparation or capacity. |
This is nonsense - it's perfectly fine to value kids from under-represented areas and review the application in context but not ok to focus on race or give a bump based solely on race. |
America is wrong and the test scores demonstrate that fact. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Programme_for_International_Student_Assessment |
DEI is not just about race though. |
Multiculturalism vs assimilation. Salad bowl vs melting pot. |
Albert Einstein famously took a test in french when he didn't speak french and failed.
Test scores measure most of what you would reasonably want to measure. |
In practice, it is mostly about race. |
Everyone who scores low on the SAT or ACT is a budding Albert Einstein. Got it. |
| Look at these laughable comments trying to dismiss that reality that THE Albert Einstein was denied entrance to university because of one exam. One four hour test taken one day in high school does not fix their path through life. You actually want people to give up on themselves? Einstein didn't. Pretty smart of him, right? |

BTW, most DCUM kids have been very well supported by their parents. From the pre-natal vitamins, to the baby brainiac videos, to the daily pep talks. These kids have not ever needed to show resilience. We never let them get anywhere near failure. Mine included. At a T10 now. Has the mind for it. And we taught the work habits. But resilient remains to be seen. My kid has never yet been behind then 8 ball

Trump and his ilk make it about race to drum up votes. |
