The people have spoken. This is what they want. |
They want a leader who hates Jewish people and would support another Holocaust. That’s what the people of DC stand for. |
Yep, sometimes you have to vote for a felon in order to get adequate anti-crime measures put in place. DC has been bizarro world for years now. |
This is rather melodramatic, don't you think? Trayon has some bad ideas, definitely, but "the people of D.C." do not stand for another Holocaust. Signed, D.C.-born Jew whose family has been living in the District for five generations |
Kindly educate yourself on the antisemitic history of Mr. Trayon White, Sr.: https://www.newsweek.com/trayon-white-srs-trip-holocaust-museum-went-badly-you-might-expect-894750 |
Yes, I read that coverage when it happened. I don't think Trayon being an idiot means all of our neighbors want us dead. |
You poor, deluded, soul. First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me. |
You’re missing the point of that poem, which is not, “someone will always come for the Jews,” but rather, “speak up even if you’re not at risk.” I wouldn’t have voted for Trayon if I lived in Ward 8, and I am not under any illusions about what he might think about Jews. I just don’t think the fact that he won a very low turnout, four-way election, indicates a broad desire among Washingtonians to see Jews slaughtered. |
