Love watching poor communities self destruct. Now all we need is Mendo to botch the Commanders stadium deal and we will get a fed takeover. That is easily possible. As much as I would like to see the Commanders in DC, I like fed control over DC better. The DC legislative body is the laughing stock of the country - corrupt, stupid, and communist to the core.

He bought his wife Effi a fur coat with city funds.

Then he went on a city-funded vacation (er, “work trip” ??) to the Caribbean. Only, he said he needed to take “security” along for his personal protection. So he brought THIRTY (30) “personal bodyguards” - who were in reality just his family members and friends, who had nothing to do with security.

Yeah - DC taxpayers paid for that.

I’m indifferent to football, but I DO recognize the importance of a team for a city.

I think it would be absolutely hilarious and fitting if the team moved to another city altogether because the of DC council interference with the deal Bowser negotiated.

The DC council would literally be responsible for DC losing its NFL team to someplace like Orlando or Louisville or Memphis.

That would be epic.

This is 100% true.

Barry wasn’t a crook. When he died, he didn’t even have enough cash in the bank to buy a coffin to get buried in.

The news anchor Bruce Johnson from Channel 9 in DC bought Barry’s casket out of sympathy. But also because he knew him from decades of covering him, and knew Barry had his flaws, but he wasn’t corrupt and never took bribes.
