Trump blaming minorities for the crash.

Kids died. Entire families died because of a military helicopter that ran into a plane. And all Trump can do is blame the “others.” That “other” group that hired and make up the Air Traffic Controllers that by all accounts did their jobs in this story.
This is the weakest a US President has EVER been. Ever.

His attacks on disabled people is the most shocking to me. He said all of these comments about hiring disabled people during the press conference (for the FAA which all of those employees are not air traffic controllers) and all of his anti DEI hiring practices are DEIA, A for Accessibility. Is nobody else concerned about this? Will this rhetoric impede people with disabilities from getting jobs?

amen, and that is one of the problems with DEI - it raises questions about the competency of all minority hires, many of whom would have been hired without preferential treatment. That is why a lot of minorities oppose DEI hiring and came over to vote for Trump this time.

It raises questions among racists. We don't go around assuming that all whites were hired with preferential treatment even though many of them are. People hire their neighbirs' kids, their friends etc. Most of the people in hiring positions are white. Yet we don't start questioning the qualifications of all white hires.

You can see on the video that the helicopter runs straight into the plane, and should have seen it right in front of them from a ways back. You can hear the controller ask if they see it, hear them say yes, and tell them to go behind it. Instead, they went into it.

How is this the controller's fault? It's clearly the fault of the army. Why are they having "training" flights right in a major flight zone? Why didn't they see the plane right in front of them?

Whatever the reason, it almost certainly leads straight back to some stupid thing someone in the new admin did, and they are deflecting by suggesting the controller did something wrong because they only got the job as a minority. But....wasn't the controller white??

I agree. And we don’t need to know if the controller was white…it makes zero difference. Trump will twist a horrible crash to fit his racism.

A plane crashes and less than 24 hours later the president is saying that DEI practices are to blame.

The controller was doing the work of two.
Air traffic control is understaffed.

It was a year ago that Washington Times had an editorial about FAA not hiring air traffic controllers for being white.
