How is this the controller's fault? It's clearly the fault of the army. Why are they having "training" flights right in a major flight zone? Why didn't they see the plane right in front of them?

Whatever the reason, it almost certainly leads straight back to some stupid thing someone in the new admin did, and they are deflecting by suggesting the controller did something wrong because they only got the job as a minority. But....wasn't the controller white??

The controller was doing the work of two.
Air traffic control is understaffed.

It was a year ago that Washington Times had an editorial about FAA not hiring air traffic controllers for being white.

Not true. There's a VAS Aviation youtube where you can hear the exchange between DCA Tower and the Blackhawk. The Blackhawk was explicitly instructed to look for a CRJ over Wilson Bridge at 1200', on the approach for runway 33. Now... it might have been better if the controller had said "XX miles, 10 o'clock" so that the helicopter pilot would have automatically looked to their left, rather than (maybe) fixating on the their right. But the controller's instructions were at least sufficient, especially considering the helicopter pilot then reported visual contact.

Who hear believes that dwarfs, blind and deaf people, folks who can't read or write mental patients, are responsible in any way shape or form for this air crash. I'm confused... are blind, deaf, illiterate, and psychotic dwarfs running the ATC towers?

He told us what he really means, when he said previous leadership, determined the FAA was "too white" So after going on and on about dwarfs, illiterates and blind people he gets to the meat, anyone the opposite of too white.

What's driving me crazy is that there is full audio and video showing any reasonable person that the traffic controller didn't do anything wrong. The army helicopter just flew right into a fully lit plane that was right in front of it and fully visible, and which it had already said it could see. Why is he focusing on the FAA and deflecting from the copter? Could it be the helicopter was there for some reason he doesn't want people to know?
