Trump blaming minorities for the crash.

amen, and that is one of the problems with DEI - it raises questions about the competency of all minority hires, many of whom would have been hired without preferential treatment. That is why a lot of minorities oppose DEI hiring and came over to vote for Trump this time.

It raises questions among racists. We don't go around assuming that all whites were hired with preferential treatment even though many of them are. People hire their neighbirs' kids, their friends etc. Most of the people in hiring positions are white. Yet we don't start questioning the qualifications of all white hires.

In case you hadn’t considered all white people benefit from race affirmative action all the time.

So you think Trump knows more about the true cause of the crash than the airline, the military, and the FAA, which have not yet reached a conclusion since it's only been a few hours?! You ascribe a lot of talents to Trump, but I'm surprised you also think he's an expert on aviation disasters.

MAGA really does think he is their orange god....it's sickening and I can't decide if it's a lack of education or a mental illness. Their words and actions are delusional and disgusting.

Enjoy the next few years, it's going to be great.

I think it's awful to be politicizing the crash when victims are still being pulled out of the water. But since Trump is already blaming the Democrats, let's not forget that previously he took credit for a GLOBAL lack of airline fatalities in his first term. If he took credit before, surely he gets blame now:

The buck stops over there.

They were turned away because of the color of their skin,” Vice President JD Vance said of air traffic controllers. “That policy ends under Donald Trump’s leadership.”

We do not know what led to this crash, but we have some very strong opinions and ideas,” he said. “And I think we'll probably state those opinions now, because over the years I've watched as things like this happen and they say, ‘Well, we're always investigating.’”

How long do we have to listen to this garbage? Now this tragedy will turn into a race issue and the country won’t be able to get together and grieve for these people.

Actually I think he said we should hire the best and the brightest air traffic controllers and not base hiring on race, sex, orientation, etc. It’s called a meritocracy.

But he didn't use that to hire a Secretary of Defense. Hiring a general is hiring fore meritocracy. Any general. Hiring a tv host to be secretary refutes your argument.

The US military didn't take a passenger jet down under Biden. They have officially done so under Trump.

Lee Atwater had a pungent and famous quote about how once conservatives could no longer use the n-word they used things like “states’ rights” to invoke the same spirit.

I don’t think it’s an exaggeration any more — if it ever was — to say they use DEI as the n-word.

Because they're a-holes. Yes, they need to meet the rigid standards. Period.

I’ll yell it so everyone can hear it: DEI DOES NOT MEAN EXCEPTIONS TO QUALIFICATIONS FOR HIRING. IT DOESNT MEAN QUOTAS. IT DOES NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH INDIVIDUAL HIRING.

Why didn't Trump change of the policies that supposedly kept them out of the ATC during his 2016-2020 term?

He's blaming Obama, Biden, DEI.....yet he did nothing for 4 years? Make it make sense.

+1 if it wasn’t crystal clear before, it certainly became so hearing MAGAs call Wes Moore and Brandon Scott the DEI governor and mayor after the Key Bridge collapsed.

He's just blathering and throwing spaghetti at the wall again. It worked last time, so he figures it'll work again.

This is my fundamental issue with Trump as a leader is that he demonstrated In hundreds of different ways that he is completely devoid of empathy, compassion, or integrity. Even if I agreed with his politics, I would not want him to be a leader. He does not demonstrate any kind of leadership qualities?
