None. I call BS on the whole thing. Seriously, Potomac can’t compete at that level, and nor can any other club… and as someone has already said, some clubs have decent years but not for the club as a whole. I just can’t see this. And my DD has played on 4 different MoCo travel teams, 5 if guesting counts… we know the landscape pretty well.

ECNL already shared what clubs were joining two days ago. There is no new MoCo ECNL team. Don’t believe anything on this thread.

The reality is that everyone is just looking for another girls ECNL or GA option in Moco besides Bethesda. There is plenty of talent, but if you don't make BSC 1 or 2 (or choose not to for other reasons) you are forced to go to VA or Bmore or PG for anything besides EDP level play. There are plenty of girls every year who live in Moco, play HS in Moco, announce college commitments - but then you see they are at some club who practices an hour+ away (which just doesn't work for most).

People are always accused of badge chasing, but it's undeniable that having that badge helps with recruiting and getting those players to come try out.

ECNL- Arlington, VDA, Union, NVA
ECRL - 12 teams (obviously too many)
GA - SYC, St James, VA Revolution

In Bmore/PG:
ECNL- Pipeline, MD United
ECRL - Pipeline, MD United
GA - Armour, Celtic, Coppermine

In MoCo/Frederick:
Bethesda. That's it.

Give MoCo girls an option. It's a huge missing opportunity.
