| A tempest in a teapot. Anyone who failed to correctly self-identify in DMV records was appropriately purged. If they have since become eligible to vote, they just need to show up and vote, nothing is stopping them from doing so. |
| Another solid and correct decision by the SC. |
I’m Dem and it’s totally fair. If we ever did allow this and don’t see why then local only |
No this is setting the stage for them to install Don It’s bs and against their own previous decisions They are traitors |
|
+1 The decision wasn't important for VA; it was for swing states. Of course, Rs are OK with Rs breaking federal law and adding obstacles to voting. |
|
You do not need a passport to vote provisional on voting day.
No one has been disenfranchised. Not one single eligible voter. |
+1 |
+100 Honestly, the hysteria is always so predictable. |
|
Saw on Twitter thread on this. Some people included her correctly checked that they were non-citizens at the time they completed their DMV form. They have since become citizens and do have a right to vote.
For those being purged, how long ago were those forms filed? Are the DMV records updated once a person becomes a citizen? |
They do STILL HAVE a right to vote; none of them have been purged from voting. Not one. They can reply to the letters they were sent (to their LEGAL addresses) and were put right back on the voter roles. Or, they can vote with a provisional ballot on Election Day. Again - not one single eligible person lost their right to vote. Not one. So why are people so hysterical? |
I’m not hysterical but it does annoy me that the Youngkin pulled this stunt for political purposes and grandstanded about it and our politicized Supreme Court let him get it away it even though it’s very clearly against the NVRA. It was never going to change the election and most of these people probably aren’t even voting but the fact that the problem can be addressed by same day voter reg doesn’t mean the whole thing isn’t a steaming pile of crap |
|
Because it’s a set up for the swing states.

Another partisan decision by the corrupt SCOTUS. |
As in, "I don't like the decision", so it must be corrupt, no matter the Court's reasoning. |
