I didn't run in the ACDC primary. I'm a democrat. I didn't vote in the ACDC primary. I'm a democrat. |
He didn't seek the endorsement because as I understand it, he wanted to retire first and had a sick relative that needed his attention. I'm voting for him too. I'm sick of candidates that come out of nowhere, riding endorsements. Looking at you Zuraya. |
hahaha, that's true. I hate that fake Dem Miranda is on the Board and was endorsed. I just think it's misleading that Paul is calling himself a Democrat, even though he didn't win, and didn't even run in the primary thing, whatever you call it. I don't remember anyone ever doing this ever. Lmao ... fake Dem Miranda ... she would have done anything/said anything to get on the Board. Very thirsty. And she had the whole APE machine behind her holding her hand and telling her what to do. Crazy that she got endorsed but then there really wasn't anyone else. She just lucked out. I don't think Paul is quite the same or has the same type or level of support. |

You have been predicting the downfall of APS because she was elected and bc of APE. And you also preach about how powerful of a lobby group APE. Given how powerful and terrible you have repeatedly posted about both of these being, why don’t you give a run down of all the decisions and changes they have implemented in the past year that have caused catastrophic harm to APS |

What should a person who is a registered Democrat, supports the Democratic platform, and votes for Democrats call himself? |
Why should Paul call himself an "Independent" if he is not one? His record and votes stand for himself. He's a Democrat. Whether he seeks a stupid endorsement or not doesn't matter. If I ever ran for public office, I would run so far away from the corrupt ACDC too. |

Crazy that she got endorsed but then there really wasn't anyone else. She just lucked out. I don't think Paul is quite the same or has the same type or level of support. So, you hate fake Dem Miranda getting the endorsement (via misleading). But you also find Paul misleading because he didn't even run for the endorsement. So what exactly sufficiently proves one's "Democrat" status for you? |
So you have just outed yourself as not even being from Virginia. If you were, you would know that you don't register by party in Virginia. I was skeptical of Miranda's party affiliation. Why can't I be skeptical of Paul's as well? He didn't even try for the primary. I would love a better way for Dems to prove they are real Dems. |
You're really all over the place. You're skeptical of Paul because he wasn't in the caucus (NOT a primary) but you're also skeptical of Miranda who was in the caucus. What purity test would satisfy you, exactly? |
Why are you so obsessed with party affiliation for local, non-partisan positions? And who or what do you think gets to determine/“prove” someone’s political affiliation? Kind of nuts…. |
Why are you so dismissive of it? With MAGAs crazies out there, it's more important than ever to me. |
The problem is, ACDC doesn’t have a good record of actually running Democrats. Theo Stamos now works for the Youngkin administration. Like I said, I’m voting for Paul. |
Very true. If ACDC got out of school board races, they would be truly nonpartisan, and those that are Federal Employees/Hatched could run. There are so many good people who should consider being on the school board, but can't because of their job. |
NP here. Yes, party affiliation matters, but that is because it is an indicator of their likely future votes, their positions, their priorities, and their principles. Therefore, if Paul self-identifies as a Democrat that tells me what I need to know. I genuinely don’t care about his participation in an organized party selection process. I care a lot more about what he would be likely to do in that position |
